REAL WEDDING // Rachelle + Jordan
Featured in Issue 32

Rachelle and Jordan first visited Belmont 16s’ The South East View about 12 months before their wedding.

“Rowena, the event coordinator, showed us through the space, and we instantly fell in love. We locked in the date and began planning!

Our ceremony took place at 4pm on the balcony, with the sun casting a beautiful glow across Lake Macquarie. It was a breathtaking backdrop for such a special moment.

Our guests enjoyed canapés on the deck overlooking the water while we headed to Green Point Reserve with the bridal party and our wonderful photographer and videographer. The lush greenery and views across the lake were absolutely picturesque. Later, our sunset photos on the jetty at Belmont 16s became one of the standout moments of the day.”

REAL WEDDING // Lauren + Tristan
Featured in Issue 32

From the moment Lauren and Tristan first visited Shoal Bay, it was love at first sight.

“The serene beauty of the coastal town immediately captivated us, and we knew that when the time came to plan our wedding, Shoal Bay would be the perfect place to celebrate.

Our ceremony took place at the breathtaking Corlette Point Park, nestled beneath towering trees and overlooking the serene bay. Our reception was held at Whitesands at Shoal Bay Country Club. The stunning venue, overlooking Shoal Bay Beach, provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration.

Elisha from Folk Lane Photo was outstanding to work with. As a couple who had never been in front of a camera before, we were nervous about looking awkward, but her calm and fun demeanor immediately put us at ease.”

REAL WEDDING // Jessica + Juan
Featured in Issue 32

Jessica and Juan were married at the beautiful homestead Stanley Park.

“Our venue was pure magic. It offered the ideal setting to gather our loved ones on a perfect summer evening. With its open space, inviting warmth, and undeniable charm, it ticked every box and provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration overflowing with meaning, memories, and love.

We are both deeply sentimental people, so nearly every element of our wedding was chosen with intention and meaning. Being a florist, flowers played a leading role in our vision. I asked my incredible team to go big, and they truly delivered – filling every space with blooms that were not only breathtaking but also deeply personal.

One of our favourite memories came from Juan’s idea to ride off into the sunset on a tinny. Our guests absolutely loved it, and – aside from nearly tipping into Fullerton Cove – the moment was everything we’d dreamed of: playful, romantic, and so uniquely us.

To capture it all, we chose Zac Graham as our photographer. His ability to document genuine emotion over formality made him the perfect fit.”

REAL WEDDING // Jaimie + Nathan
Featured in Issue 32

Jaimie and Nathan were married at Heaven Gardens in Port Stephens.

“Heaven Gardens stood out to us as a wedding venue. It had a relaxed, open, and seamless flow between the ceremony, reception, and bar. We loved that everything was in one location, surrounded by flowers, trees, and plants that created stunning scenery everywhere you looked.

Our ceremony was fun, light-hearted, and beautifully simple – just the way we wanted it.

Our reception was when everyone truly let their hair down and embraced the celebration. With the formalities out of the way, there was nothing left on the run sheet except to hit the dance floor, enjoy each other’s company, and have an unforgettable night.

We wanted a bright wedding with lots of colour. Our styling theme embraced vibrant garden blooms - a beautiful blend of bold and pastel florals that added rich texture and pops of colour, all of which complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings.”

REAL WEDDING // Ellie + Kennedy
Featured in Issue 32

Ellie and Kennedy discovered Bluebush Estate on Instagram and immediately knew they had to visit.

“A young couple, Lauren and Gareth, had recently taken over the property. It was charming yet inviting, with a warmth that felt like home – just perfect. When we inquired about the price, we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonable it was. Renting the entire property for three days while accommodating all our guests felt like a dream come true.

With Kennedy’s family traveling from Brazil, we opted for a smaller wedding to ensure our Australian and Brazilian guests had the opportunity to truly connect. Our ceremony was personal and intimate. Just what we wanted with our loved ones watching on.

We have always believed in pursuing what matters most and doing it within a community – a true reflection of Kennedy’s Brazilian culture. Our wedding embodied that spirit; it was a genuine community effort. It felt like a traditional celebration, with everyone coming together and contributing. Having a budget pushed us to be creative, and involving our friends turned out to be the most meaningful and bonding experience of all.”

REAL WEDDING // Natalie + Benjamin
Featured in Issue 32

Natalie and Benjamin were married in the Hunter Valley at the renowned Peterson House.

“I (Natalie) work full-time as a doctor and have a very busy schedule, but I still wanted to be hands-on with the wedding planning. Since we organised everything in just six months, we needed a bit of help – and that’s where our incredible vendors came in. We’re still in awe that these legends came together to bring our dream wedding to life.

We both wanted to get married in a church and fell in love with the Peterson House Chapel. With its beautiful stone foundation, stunning timber interior, and high ceilings, it perfectly combined elegance and class. We knew straight away – it was a non-negotiable for our wedding.

We wanted our small guest list of 55 to feel truly special – not just like they were attending an event, but experiencing something unforgettable. We planned surprise after surprise to make the day memorable. Highlights included rainbow daytime fireworks, night fireworks, a rapping celebrant, our fur baby as the ring bearer, a live guest illustrator, a live wedding painter, a personalised tote bag with goodies for all our guests… and so much more.”

REAL WEDDING // Gabbey + Shaun
Featured in Issue 32

Gabbey and Shaun originally planned to elope, but then changed their plans to include their nearest and dearest friends, bringing their guest list to 28.

“It was the perfect intimate number, allowing us to spend quality time with each person throughout the day. piggs peake has always been a special place for us – we dine there regularly and even got engaged there. So, when it came to choosing a venue in the Hunter Valley, it was an easy decision.

We gave our stylist, Rhi, a colour palette of blushes, wine, and nudes. She created a beautiful mood board, which we then sent to all our vendors and let them work their magic – and boy, did they deliver! The ladies at WOW Flowers were an absolute joy to work with, and our arbour was quite possibly the most breathtaking floral artistry we have ever seen!

For our reception, we chose a long table in the courtyard to enjoy the gorgeous weather. The highlight of the night – besides the company – was the food. Yellow Billy Restaurant delivered, serving everything from oysters to reverse-seared sirloin and the most amazing corned beef croquettes with fried capers, which were the undeniable hit of the night!”

REAL WEDDING // Helena + Warner
Featured in Issue 32

When it came time to plan their wedding, Helena and Warner wanted it to be a true reflection of who they are as a couple.

“Our dream was to bring together our different circles of friends and family for a celebration that felt warm, welcoming, and full of joy. Great food and drinks were a must, but more than anything, we wanted the atmosphere to be relaxed – something that felt more like a gathering of our favourite people than a formal affair.

We were incredibly lucky to have access to the stunningly renovated rustic barn at Anambah House, a venue that offered the perfect balance of charm and character.

Adding to the magic of the day was our unique wedding theme inspired by The Greatest Showman. We wanted to infuse a bit of theatrical fun and whimsy into the celebration, and our entertainers truly delivered with performances that were nothing short of spectacular.

Our photographer, Nicole Butler, captured every beautiful detail – from candid laughter among guests to quiet, romantic moments between us.“

REAL WEDDING // Taylah + Daniel
Featured in Issue 32

Taylah and Daniel knew they wanted to get married in the Hunter Valley, but having grown up in the area they wanted something a little different from the popular vineyard setting. Leaves & Fishes mixed earthy European vogue with whimsical rainforest vibes.

“Our ceremony was deeply personal, centred on our love for each other and our families. We wrote our own vows and shared them in front of all our loved ones. My dad walked me down the aisle, and our siblings stood beside us as Maid of Honour and Best Man. Our mums signed our marriage certificate – we wanted them to have a special part in our day, too.

Our styling centred around rich reds and deep burgundies. Our florists – close family friends – completely took the reins, and the florals were the star of the show. We were obsessed. Mayd by Rhi led the creative direction, and we’re so grateful for her vision.

At my final gown fitting, I added THE BOW to my gown, which tied everything together. Dan’s suit was fully custom, tailored by Rundle Tailoring, with a vest featuring his family’s Scottish tartan. Being in the industry, I (Taylah) had an incredible network of vendors to lean on, for which I am very grateful, and they truly delivered.”
