We have sites or accommodation to suit everyone and cool facilities, including: Pool, Gym, TV Lounge & Book Exchange, BBQs & Camp Kitchen, free Wi-Fi and Pets are welcome, only 700m to the beach and of leash area walk to Woolworths and Bar and Bistro.

I’m so excited to share that 4X4XPLORE has just reached 1,000 subscribers! 🚙✨
What started as a way to share our travels has now grown into a community of adventurers, travellers, and like-minded explorers.

The journey ahead will look a little different — with our new adventure of running a caravan park in Mission Beach. 🌴 But one thing won’t change: I’ll keep sharing stories, travels, and glimpses of life on the road (and now, life in the park too!).

Thank you to everyone who’s subscribed, watched, and supported so far — it truly means the world. 💛

📍 It’s official — we are now the proud new owners of Tropical Hibiscus Caravan Park! 🌴

We’re thrilled to be stepping into this new adventure. Our goal is simple — to keep the park’s relaxed, cosy feel just as our regulars love it. We’re not here to reinvent anything, just to take good care of what’s already special.

Today is D-Day!
We’ve been flat out getting everything ready — there’s a lot going on behind the scenes, but it’s finally happening.

This part of the world really is a tropical paradise 🌴☀️
And Amber, our staffy, is absolutely loving it — tail wagging nonstop and big Staffy smiles all around 🐾

We’re so excited to finally call Tropical Hibiscus Caravan Park home.
More updates to come soon… but for now, we’re soaking it all in.

SURPRISE — We bought a caravan park in Mission Beach!

After months of planning, negotiating, and a whole lot of paperwork… this week, we’ll officially become the proud owners of Tropical Hibiscus Caravan Park in beautiful Mission Beach, QLD.

We arrived late tonight, so no photos yet — it was too dark to capture anything properly (I have added the link to the week site so you can have a peak! ). But don’t worry, I’ll be sharing plenty over the coming week. It’s going to be hectic — we’re hitting the ground running in a very busy park!

After years in the corporate world, we’ve traded office chairs for palm trees. It’s exciting, overwhelming, and very real now.

We’ll be sharing the journey — the ups, the downs, and everything it takes to run a caravan park in paradise. And of course, we’ll keep exploring this stunning part of Queensland. We’ve already seen parts of the Atherton Tablelands — like the circuit waterfalls — and there’s much more to come!

Thanks for sticking with us through the quiet months. We can’t wait to show you around — and I can’t wait to welcome you here at the park. Now you know where to find us!

We’ve officially hit the road.
Leaving our home of 15 years was bittersweet — so many memories, and we won’t be coming back. One chapter closed, and a new one just beginning.

Keith is up front with the Tommy Camper. I’m following behind with everything else we own.

After years in the corporate world, this next step is nothing like anything we’ve done before. It’s exciting. A bit daunting. And very real now.

One more sleep until we reveal what we’ve been working on…

The house is officially empty.
The Tommy is fully loaded and ready to go.

We’ve spent the whole day cleaning, and now it’s time to take it all in — one last quiet moment before everything changes.

It’s a mix of excitement and exhaustion… and we’re not even on the road yet.
This isn’t just a trip — it’s a whole new lifestyle.

Tomorrow, we head north.

Our first lap around Australia ends where the desert meets the river — on the banks of the stunning Darling River.
