With over 20 years of experience in professional video production, Chardon Waite has worked across a broad spectrum of sporting and entertainment events, traveling to various locations throughout Australia and filming in some of the country’s most stunning yet challenging environments. Chardon

has built a strong reputation in the sporting world, covering diverse events including motorsport, football, surfing, bull riding, and more. For several years, he served as both the Director and Senior Camera Operator for Sky Racing, covering Harness Racing tracks across Sydney, Newcastle, and Maitland. This role honed his leadership skills, allowing him to manage a broadcasting team under pressure while consistently delivering high-quality live programming week after week. Recently, Chardon has expanded his portfolio to include MMA broadcasting and directing the Shute Shield Rugby for Stan Sport as well as Rugby League for NITV. In addition to his sports work, Chardon has a wealth of experience in live entertainment, having filmed music concerts and air shows for large-scale audiences. Over the years, he has collaborated with renowned artists, bringing their performances to the screen with precision and creativity. His versatility and technical expertise have made him a valuable asset for artists looking to expand their reach and grow their presence within the industry. Chardon’s understanding of the art of performance capture has also made him a sought-after professional for theatre and dance companies. You’ll find The Den on the grass area between courts 9 and 13, so bring a chair or picnic rug to settle in and grab some supporter items to help you cheer loud and proud.

The Den is more than just a spot at the courts – it’s our people, our spirit, and our pride. On Grand Final Day, this is your space and together, we will ‼️

Chardon Waite has been working as a professional camera operator for twenty years and has also been a live television director for the last 5 years. Chardon has been apart of a wide range of different sports programs traveling to all areas of Australia filming in some of the country’s most beautiful locations. Chardon has seen it all with motor sport being a big part of his career such as Super Bikes, Touring Cars and Speed Way filming so close to the action he could feel the gust from the cars almost blow him over. Rugby League, Base Ball and Cricket share another large part of Chardon’s career. For a number of years Chardon took on a role to direct live television on a weekly basis for Sky Racing, showing an even greater skillset he is able to bring to the table. In recent times Chardon has turned his attention to Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) creating short features on individual fighters and online MMA content. Chardon has covered live entertainment for many years now meeting incredible artists along the way, filming dance concerts and live music. Chardon Lives in Newcastle Australia.
