Following the cancellation of Burning Seed Metamorphosis, our community has a unique opportunity to stop and reflect on our future. We’re all wondering - what’s next?

FACT CHECK: I’ve heard a lot of people shying away from attending Burning Seed this year due to the new dates, for fear of colder weather, but you’d be surprised how MINOR the shift in weather is!

Basically, comparing Sept stats (2018/2019 Seed) with June stats (2025 Seed) in the weather almanac, we can expect:
- Lower winds
- Nights that are 1 degree colder
- Days that are 3.5 degree colder
- Chance of one more night below freezing

# Sep (Old) vs June (New)

Mean min temp: 5.2 vs 4.0 (1 degree colder)
Mean 9am temp: 11.5 vs 7.9 (3.5 degree colder)
Mean 9am wind: 11.5 vs 8.7 (3 km/ph lower - better)
Mean 3pm temp: 17.1 vs 13.6 (3.5 degree colder)
Mean 3pm wind: 16.3 vs 11.6 (5 km/ph lower - better)
Mean max temp: 18.4 vs 14.3 (4 degree colder)
Mean days min. temp.

Looking for new ways to get involved this year?

Red Earth Radio will be broadcasting live from the paddock throughout Burning Seed on 92.3 FM (and live-streaming to the global Shouting Fire burner network) from Wed March 22 - Mon March 27, showcasing anything and everything the burning community has to offer, providing a unique space to meet fellow burners, get some of your favourite tunes on the air, share stories, and have a laugh.

This is a volunteer community operated initiative, and WE NEED YOUR HELP to make it a reality! Any and all contributions are most appreciated, whether it's simply by:
- requesting a promo of your camp event
- offering some content ideas, eg. interview questions, a segment, fake ads, jokes, quotes, etc.
- uploading your DJ set
- get your favourite song played
- helping us schedule guests
- pointing us towards some hilarious audio content
- DJing live on the air
- helping us spread the word to fellow burners out on the paddock
- sharing the latest news from the paddock
- joining us in the booth as guest or host for some short interviews

All levels of experience are welcome - even if you don't plan to join us live on the air, come and join us at the workshop to gain an insight into what Red Earth Radio FM is all about, help us keep up to date with all the latest news from the paddock, and build your confidence towards joining us on the air at a future event.
