🔥 A Community Survey of NSW Burns NOW OPEN 🔥

Following the cancellation of Burning Seed Metamorphosis, our community has a unique opportunity to stop and reflect on our future. We’re all wondering - what’s next?
Take the survey: https://sydney.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bQrQhawWDdeLrn0

This independent survey aims to be a comprehensive census on NSW burns and burner-adjacent events. It's NOT run by any one organisation with any specific agenda - it's neutral research creating shared knowledge for everyone.

We need to hear from YOU:
✅ What events do you want?
✅ What can you contribute?
✅ What models will you support?

Your 15 minutes = evidence-based future for NSW burns

Results will be shared publicly in August, with preliminary results presented at the Sunburnt Arts Town Hall on
July 27.

Your voice as part of your community - for the future of NSW burns.

Whether you're based in NSW, travel from interstate, or anywhere in between — if you're part of the community that creates, attends, or supports Burner events in NSW, your voice matters.

We hope to see you at Burning Seed this year, but it’ll only happen if you BUY YOUR TICKET TODAY… please 🙏😍🥳

FACT CHECK: I’ve heard a lot of people shying away from attending Burning Seed this year due to the new dates, for fear of colder weather, but you’d be surprised how MINOR the shift in weather is!

Basically, comparing Sept stats (2018/2019 Seed) with June stats (2025 Seed) in the weather almanac, we can expect:
- Lower winds
- Nights that are 1 degree colder
- Days that are 3.5 degree colder
- Chance of one more night below freezing

# Sep (Old) vs June (New)

Mean min temp: 5.2 vs 4.0 (1 degree colder)
Mean 9am temp: 11.5 vs 7.9 (3.5 degree colder)
Mean 9am wind: 11.5 vs 8.7 (3 km/ph lower - better)
Mean 3pm temp: 17.1 vs 13.6 (3.5 degree colder)
Mean 3pm wind: 16.3 vs 11.6 (5 km/ph lower - better)
Mean max temp: 18.4 vs 14.3 (4 degree colder)
Mean days min. temp.
