We recently went to Mount Beauty and, as always, were struck by the old school nature of the place.

Being the reminiscent type, we took a look back through the archives!

Have you got a retro pic from Beauty? Send it out way.

Stuttgart is the engineering capital of Germany, home to Porsche, Bosch and Mercedes-Benz, and now the birthplace of FOCUS’ Project NEXT thermoplastic frame.

Vandy and Mick spent a week inside FOCUS HQ to understand how that city’s machine-mind DNA shapes the bikes they build.

Spoken is back at Carriageworks in Sydney from 19–21 June, and after going along last year, we've got one tip: don't rush it.

You can do a lap in an hour. But the good stuff happens when you slow down, ask questions and actually talk to the builders, designers and brand reps on the stands.

Come early, stay longer than you planned and ride there if you can. Last year the bike parking alone was worth a look.

A Campy lever for the Campy faithful!

When Campagnolo killed its thumb shifter for the Super Record WRL, its diehard fanbase pushed back hard. Platform 13 brings it back.

The new thumb shifter sits further inboard than before, with a smart button just in front of the thumb knuckle doing most of the work from the hoods.

Andrew found the SR-X a match for SRAM Red XPLR in performance, with shifting that's on par and a finish that's hard to fault.

Holy park bike! This one looks like it was built for the people.

We assumed Norco's next DH release would be the World Cup race machine they've been developing. The new Torrent DH goes in a completely different and refreshingly simple direction.

An alloy frame, external cable routing, MX wheels, lifetime warranty and size-specific geometry. Norco is ticking a lot of boxes in the "no-fuss" category.

Glenrock (NSW) is our Shimano Destination of the Month for June!

Ten minutes from the Newcastle CBD, the trails here wind through coastal rainforest and play peekaboo with pristine beaches.

The network is primarily green and blue XC, with a few black descents like Bj's Surprise.

The 7km main loop out of Gun Club Road is best ridden clockwise and covers a good spread of what Glenrock has to offer. But there are gems off the main route too, like the Deluge descent, that are well worth the detour.

It's not the most technical network going, which is exactly what makes it such a popular spot for families and riders just getting into the sport. Skatey dirt, good signage and big views. The Glenrock Table with Burwood Beach in the background is hard to beat.

This one's a bit close to home for us too. The Flow mothership is just up the road.

It's one of the most common misconceptions about riding in the Red Centre.

The trails are anything but flat, with constant undulation, rock features and techy sections around every corner. The West Side in Alice is particularly rugged and will make you work for every metre. Precise line choice is a must!

Goodness Gravel Orange done and dusted!

The third edition rolled out over the weekend, and some cool temps made for a welcome change from the warm and steamy editions of years past.

Both courses sent riders up and over Mount Canobolas, which tested the legs, but smiles were big all day.

Locals got right behind it (one farmer even put on his own unofficial aid station) and the field was full of first-timers giving gravel a crack.

It was also great to see a few familiar faces like Holly Harris and Ben Gittus using the day as a warmup for Devils Cardigan.

Next up the Goodness crew rolls into Bulahdelah on the Barrington Coast for Flow State Gravel on July 18, with 120km, 80km and 45km courses on offer.
