The Limestone Coast 🏞️

This final stretch of our South Australia road trip was honestly unreal… Mt Gambier alone had everything: a sinkhole you can swim in (and it’s absolutely freezing), a beautiful botanical garden set inside a sinkhole, and then we rewarded ourselves with a Coonawarra wine tasting (Cab Sav heaven) before crossing the VIC border into the last state of our lap of Australia 🚙🍷

Mt Gambier seriously delivered, and Coonawarra did not disappoint. And while that Victoria border crossing feels like a big moment, in the wise words of Miss Natasha Bedingfield… the rest is still unwritten, and we can’t wait to explore the remainder of our lap in Victoria and beyond 👀😅

If you had to choose one, would you choose: swimming in a sinkhole or wine tasting in Coonawarra? Comment below 👇

P.S. Swipe to see James’ cold water reaction 🥶

Everyone told us to go for a swim in Little Blue Lake… but we weren’t so sure 😅

It looks amazing, but once you’re standing there, it’s hard not to wonder what’s actually inside… 😂

Would you swim here without thinking twice? Or would you be the same as us? Comment below! 👇

Australian petrol station “servo” coffees are actually… good.

Like, genuinely good. This was one of the biggest surprises for us while travelling Australia… 😅

Our favourite has to be Cole’s “Reddy Express”. Consistent, strong, and way better than we ever expected from a servo stop! ☕️

Have you tried servo coffee in Australia? And which one’s your go-to? Comment below! 👇

Things you should NEVER do in Australia 😳 (Part 10)

Don’t step on coral.

It might look like rock, but coral is a living organism and it’s incredibly fragile. Standing on it can break decades of growth in seconds, and it can seriously damage reefs that are already under pressure… 🪸

It’s also risky for you. Coral can be sharp, cause nasty cuts, and infections are common!

If you’re snorkelling or swimming near reefs, float where possible, wear reef shoes if needed, and always be aware of where your feet are 🤿

What’s the best advice you’d give visitors to protect coral while snorkelling or swimming? Comment below! 👇

Brits react to “How to Make Gravy”… 😱

We thought the best way to get into the Aussie Christmas spirit was to listen to some classic Aussie Christmas songs! 🎄

So today we’re listening to “How to Make Gravy” by Paul Kelly… 🎵

Aussies, is Gravy Day a real thing? Comment below! 👇

Things you should NEVER do in Australia 😳 (Part 9)

Never ignore weather warnings in Australia, they’re serious! ⚠️

Cyclones, bushfires, floods, and extreme heat can change plans fast, and up north the wet season can turn roads and crossings into a no-go zone overnight…

And honestly, no photo, booking, or deadline is worth putting yourself (or emergency services) in danger.

What’s the biggest weather mistake you see visitors make? Comment below! 👇

This is Cave Gardens Sinkhole in Mount Gambier… and we’ll be honest 😅

It’s pretty wild seeing a naturally formed sinkhole right in the middle of the city, but when we visited, it was quite dirty and didn’t feel as impressive as we expected. Still interesting to see, just not quite what we’d pictured 👀

Have you been here before? Did we just catch it on a bad day? Comment below! 👇

Brits react to “Aussie Jingle Bells”… 😳🎄

We thought the best way to get into the Aussie Christmas spirit was to listen to some classic Aussie Christmas songs! 🇦🇺🎵

So today we’re listening to “Aussie Jingle Bells” by Bucko & Champs 😅

Aussies, is this actually a Christmas essential? Comment below! 👇

Things you should NEVER do in Australia 😳 (Part 8)

If you arrive at a beach, creek, or swimming spot and you don’t see anyone else in the water, don’t just assume you’ve found a hidden gem… 👀

Especially up north, there’s usually a reason locals aren’t swimming. Croc territory, stingers, strong currents, or conditions that just are not worth the risk! 🐊

If in doubt, check the signs, ask a local, and pick a spot where people actually swim 😅

What signs should visitors look out for before deciding it’s safe to swim? Comment below! 👇
