The Friends of Cranbrook Primary School would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to the local businesses who supported this week's Carnival Disco! Village Vintage loaned us some of their vintage games and Sp Bespoke Ltd built another game from scratch; Kitchen of Kent donated the hot dogs and rolls; Queen's Hall Theatre, Cranbrook provided the lighting and sound equipment; and CSPA Cranbrook School Parents' Association loaned us their candy floss machine. We really appreciate your support ❤

While I’m off sick I might as well update you on more work. We finished this one a few weeks ago. Was a complete job over a week and a half. The customer actually gave me full plans, drawings the lot which isn’t very often we all get this to work from! I don’t know about any of you but it’s seems I’m working in all the tightest spaces at the moment! This was one of the trickest understairs storage units I’ve ever made on-site! I had pipes that needs removal sections to access pipe work, as gas meter, wallpaper for the 1950s, hardboard stud walls. You name it I came across it! Plans changed on site as client wanted beaded front but you know what we adapted and made it happen. Client was over the moon as they had never had a tradesman work in there home and they were so surprised when we cleaned up after ourselves and left tidy every single day! Can’t wait to see it painted!

Lovely job for a repeat client .a set of Victorian treads and risers stripped back to expose the lovely pinch pine. We also replaced the spindles and sanded back the handrail. We made a removal landing section of balustrade a first for us(we did a video but we failed 😂)I watched and learn from the master that is on his removal balustrade he made last year. Learnt a lot from this video. We finished this back in early March. Love working on these older house all day long

It’s been a minute. A lot has been going on over the last few months so I haven’t really posted up much work. Here’s a kitchen we painted and finished off the last carpentry bits that hadn’t been finished by the builder. We did the skirting, architraves and a new door as well as mist coating and finish coats of paint on the walls and ceilings. We even painted the downstairs loo to freshen it up. A big thanks to aka sam our client. The brownies were amazing we will definitely be popping by when in the area! And if anyones in the chatham/Rochester area be sure to drop in and give them a try! You won’t be disappointed!

It’s a age old saying… jack of all trades master of non. This completely springs to mind on this job. This lovely oak timber frame building was built 10years ago by a oak timber frame company. I don’t know how there getting any work with the standard of work they have left the client with. Let’s just say the buildings held together with silicone and expanding foam. They had some serious water leaking issues as the property is south facing it was getting hit by the rain all the time. But the glazing and pour oak beading around the windows was what was making the issue worse. It was the clients choice to take out the glazing a completely weatherproof the outside which would loss some of the amazing views but at least it would solve the bigger issue. It makes me angry that they left this building into this state. The end ridge was made of 4x2 yes 4x2 end rafters which wad capped and not even treated timber! To then top it off I think the a frames inside are sagging from the weight of the tiles a I believe the roof wasn’t supported correctly. We used in midnight black on the outside and then insulation on the inside with plaster board painted in a on the inside. The client was over the moon and we have already booked in another 3 weeks work to come back and sort out further issues.

Can I still say happy new year… 🤔🤔 it’s been a very busy first week back for me. I can assure you I will stop spamming you all with my honeymoon holiday pictures. It’s been my first solo week in a while. I’ve started the new year back on my own after my apprentice left me back in October of last year. It’s certainly my been a tough start to the year but hopefully things will get easier. Anyways finally a good use of space at a new build estate in ashford. The client wanted to use the space above his carport to make a mezzanine in to storage. A very good use of wasted space and something we might well come and add a stair case to later in the year after we recommended it instead of using a ladder. All completed in a day and a half solo. 💪

I’m a local carpenter based in Egerton and I’m looking for a lad or lass to start as a labourer. We have ongoing work starting from the 17th jan and this will be a full time position. Looking for someone that’s hard working, has a can do attitude and willingness and eye for detail. Ideally candidate would be between 17-25. Transport also ideal but not essential as can pick up if local. A willingness to learn a trade a must. No time wasters please

Looking for hardworking, keen labourer to start with us for 5-6 weeks work in Rochester on a renovation project. You will be working alongside myself(carpenter) and my carpenters apprentice. Must be able to paint or able to
Learn quickly as there is lots of prep work, mist coating as well as general labouring(moving materials, fetching tools, ripping out)
If this project goes well there could be ongoing work and maybe the lead to a apprenticeship.
Please contact me via messenger or via text/WhatsApp only thank you
