Today I visited a successful Karen grocery store in Werribee, in the City of Wyndham (Wyndham City), and met the inspiring owner, Naw Eh Paw.

She built her business from the ground up on her own. Even when things were hard, she stayed strong and didn’t give up.

Her story shows the strength, courage, and hard work that women bring to business and to our communities. ()

It was a true honour to finally meet Dr. Cynthia Maung from Mae Tao Clinic in person. I’ve heard about her inspiring journey and the incredible work she has done for the Karen people and communities along the Thai–Myanmar border since I was young.

Sitting down and talking with her today on the Poekoothay Podcast really made me reflect on the power of compassion, resilience, and selfless service. Hearing her experiences and the impact she continues to make in so many lives was both humbling and inspiring.

Thank you to the leaders from Australian Karen Organisation Victoria for helping make this opportunity possible. I’m also very grateful to Aunty Maung Hnin Thwe from Comfort Care & Community Services for generously providing the space and supporting this meaningful conversation.

Conversations like this remind me how one person’s dedication can change the lives of thousands.

It was truly an honour to finally meet Dr Cynthia from Mae Tao Clinic in person. I have been hearing about her inspiring story and the incredible work she has done for the Karen people and communities along the Thai–Myanmar border since I was a child. His musical journey began at a very young age. Driven by a deep passion for music, he pursued formal studies at university, sharpening his craft and shaping the powerful guitarist he is today.
