Still soaking up the newlywed bubbleđŸ€

But what most people don’t know is that Silk Digital probably wouldn’t exist without him.

From the very start, he’s been the one pushing me to dream bigger, encouraging me to move out of my hometown, take the leap with uni (even when it meant adding an extra year), start new jobs, return to old ones, and eventually launch my business.

He’s been my rock ✹ emotionally, financially, and professionally.

I’m the delulu dreamer, and he’s the one balancing me out with logic (most of the time 😅).

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately, and one thing that’s really been highlighted is just how important it is to have the right people in your life.

So many brands exist because of a strong support system and so many don’t survive because of the wrong advice or voices steering them off track.

That’s really one of the reasons behind why I started Silk.

I want to be the right person in your corner. To back your vision, not water it down. Because there are too many others out there taking advantage of brands for their financial benefit. đŸ„ș

I heard something on a podcast the other day and I can’t stop thinking about it!

The General Manager of this hugely successful Aussie supplement brand said:

“We don’t make products for ourselves. We make them for our customers.”

And I instantly thought about how often I hear brand owners say the same thing about their marketing!

“I don’t do email marketing because I don’t open emails”

Okay
 but are you trying to sell to yourself?

Or to the people who actually buy from you?

You’re thinking too much like a business owner, not a buyer. And it’s holding you back because you don’t want to be “annoying”.

They’re literally waiting for a reason to buy IF you show up the right way.

So if your product was made for them

You paid to get their attention.

But if you’re not following up properly with emails that actually sound like you, remind them why they cared, and nudge them back when they’re ready?

You’re not just leaving money on the table,
you’re throwing it out the window (into your competitors pockets).

The abandoned cart is a non-negotiable, but let’s be real it’s the campaign they get next week, or next month, that actually makes them come back.

You want a profitable business? You need retention.
And that means email that works WITH your ads not the “she’ll be right” energy you have now.

Don’t get wrong, I love ads!! But if your email isn’t backing them up, you’re just making Meta rich 💾

Instead, let’s make your brand rich. đŸ€‘

And 9 times out of 10 it usually isn’t.

But that isn’t something to freak out about.

It just means that there is so much opportunity for us to set them up and get your emails creating more revenue for your business without having to spend thousands more a month on your paid ads.

But here’s the catch, it only works if your emails actually add value.

That means solving a problem, offering something they can’t find anywhere else, or just making their day a bit better.
