I talk often about progression as a live hardware artist.
Let me explain by reflecting.
I about to release a new album.
My usual process is to go through the live jams from the year before, pick the best, and launch an album.
I have been too busy and missed 2023, so last year I had two albums ready, but only released only one; Wiser.
This year I thought I better release an album before year is over.
So I went back, and found the other album sitting there, ready to go.
I sat down, had a listen, and basically blew myself away.
Who was this? Where is this driving atmospheric symphony of sounds and randomness coming from?
Well, me! Me then, in that point in time.
Living in the moment.
It will never happen again.
It's where I was at that moment in time, experimenting, searching, playing with mates and evolving sound.
I have cut a section from the live jam in the video below and I will be releasing it as a track on the new album.
That was me, at that point in time, never to be repeated.
I love that about what I do, what we do.
The repetitive music that is never to be repeated!
How friggin awesome is that.
It's a journey, down a path, down the hardware road.
And no one will ever be able to take that away from us.
Jam on peeps.
This one is dedicated to Keean. Thanks for having me over for a jam and making me feel so welcome. We will be jamming again no doubt, and we will hit record n...
