After one month away, some pruning was needed. We are not scared to cut off foliage in this house!

This was two years ago, and most of these plants are now triple the size 🌿 one is 🪦

Let’s potter around the houseplants. Lots of watering, misting, feeding, pruning, spinning, admiring and a neem treatment. I do love a relaxing plant care day.

🥳Happy birthday to me, my Begonia maculata cuttings have rooted! Find the full chatty how to on my YT 🌿🌸✂️

A quick Begonia maculata wightii propagation guide.
Cut sections with stem and leaf.
They can go straight into water, no need to callous.
Top up the water often! I have only changed the water once in four weeks.
That’s it, you should have pretty, delicate roots in no time.

✂️ Pink Princess Philodendron Propagation & one month update! 💖 I chopped my gorgeous Philodendron Erubescens Pink Princess in half, again, to encourage bushier growth. She is rooting beautifully and the mother plant has branched out.

Philodendron propagation how to:
- Take a stem cutting (not single leaf) of two to three leaves, just below the nodes.
- Cut off any excess stem.
- Let the cutting callous for a few hours or overnight.
- Optional: add a rooting hormone.
- Next, add to a vessel with fresh water. Keep the cutting in a warm and humid space, the bathroom works well or a greenhouse!
- Philodendrons can be slow to root. Be patient and top up with fresh water as needed - don't replace the water!

To grow bigger Pink Princess leaves, ensure bright sunlight and consider staking the plant. Philodendrons are climbers, and providing support, like a trellis or moss pole, helps them grow larger leaves by conserving energy otherwise spent on maintaining their upright position. Also, don’t shy away from placing your plant in the rain—it helps clean the leaves and provides nutrients!
