Odette - Blink
November 6, 2026

We’re delighted to share news of the forthcoming album by the incredible Odette 🫶

A love letter to enduring hope, Odette’s forthcoming album ‘Blink’ is a cosmopolitan confessional. Never afraid to hold the mirror against herself, each lyric of prose and meter is layered in decaying texture. Part baroque pop, part jazz-rnb hybrid, ‘Blink’ is at times sparse, psychedelic (in approach not sound) at others and always witty. She calls it “a beautifully mangled living thing”. A candid recount of the human experience, ‘Blink’ uncovers what it means to become aware of the world around you; entering young adulthood whilst you try to overcome your own battles. Love, heartbreak, endurance, self-realisation and the terrible places you go and have to fight your way out of in pursuit of where you truly belong.

Available to pre-order on VOID BLUE vinyl, black vinyl and CD via our 🔗. Pre-save the record on your favourite streamer.

Out Now.

Today, Rowena Wise releases her sophomore album Bad Things Feel Good*. The bold and deeply intimate LP further establishes her as one of Australia’s most exciting voices in indie folk. Produced by Rob Muinos (Julia Jacklin, Didirri), the record blends intimate live-band performances with Wise’s incisive songwriting, examining identity, relationships, and self-discovery with remarkable emotional clarity. Rich in nuance and lyrical depth, the album marks a significant artistic leap for an artist whose audience continues to grow both at home and internationally.

“(‘Unlearning of Love’ is a) gently searching new tune, which tellingly erupts into a groove of self-confidence in its back half.” - FLOOD MAGAZINE

“Emotional lyrics as unfussily affecting as they are bracingly candid are again spotlit on (Bad Things Feel Good*), revealing a kinship with Julia Jacklin and Angel Olsen…Wise gives her songs a subtle ’70s inflection, though, and the eloquent yearning is all her own, whether navigating a breakup, as in the soaraway ‘No Angel’ or musing on familial history in ‘Blood Ties,’ whose chug and swing suggest a gnarlier Fleetwood Mac.” - UNCUT MAGAZINE

“Rowena Wise is making peace with the mess of being human through smouldering, unflinching indie folk songs” - Atwood Magazine

“Patient and affecting” - Our Culture Magazine on “Unlearning of Love”

“Carefully etched indie folk” - CLASH Magazine

UK-born Australian singer-songwriter Odette today returns with her first release since 2024 with ‘AAAH!’ - a sharp soulful piano-led cry to the universe ✨

Odette writes songs that feel like close-quarters confessions: soulful, sharp, and unafraid of honest reflection. Growing up with her parents’ eclectic tastes - from her mother’s love of pop and dance music driven by her Ximba ancestry, to her father’s pomme-punk, skater-boy nonsense - Odette grew up surrounded by music, and fell in love with its power to help the self endure difficult moments.
