Well it's official - the curfew was made up political bs first.

Anyone who watched the curfew court case knew the entire thing was garbage at the time.
In the case, it confimed the govt announced the curfew publicly HOURS before any 'health order' was signed & the health official admitted that they believed if they didn't sign off on it - the govt would have just kept going until they found someone who would.
The exact opposite of health advice.

As a note: this also means the govt likely violated the legislative requirements around human rights assessments & due consideration before exercising SoE or SoD powers, as well as the fact the govt NEVER technically had any of the power, it was meant to lie only with the CHO. "Independently". A truly laughable concept now.

However it becomes concerning when you realise he's still in the public service (in hand-picked, VERY senior roles) where he's theoretically meant to be independent of the govt, not some kind of political lapdog.

The judge found entirely in Deeming's favour on all 5 counts & did not accept any of Pesutto's defences.

They will now go back to argue over hundreds of thousands of dollars in court fees.
