104 lbs GONE since early December — I’m 58, Paul is 64, and I finally stopped waking up at 3 AM to check if Paul was still breathing because his snoring had become so terrifying.
It’s February 24th, and I’m sharing this because I almost lost my mind last fall. I’ve spent 25 years in a high-pressure corporate office, and it had literally rewired my brain. I was "tired but wired." I’d spend my days in a caffeine-fueled haze and my nights staring at the ceiling, heart hammering, while my "stress-belly" grew larger every single week. Paul was even worse—he was over 275 lbs, and I knew his body was starving for oxygen every time he closed his eyes.
We were both grey-skinned, exhausted, and terrified. I felt like I was developing early-onset dementia—I couldn't remember names in meetings, and no matter how little we ate, the scale kept climbing. The doctor just told us to "lower our stress," as if we could just quit our careers. It felt like they were just waiting for one of us to have a total breakdown.
In December, my niece, a Neuro-Consultant in New York, saw us shaking during a visit. "Auntie, your ‘Stress-Switch’ is stuck in the ON position. Your office jobs have kept you in a state of ‘High-Alert Inflammation’ for so long that your body is terrified to release a single ounce of fat. It thinks you’re in a famine. You have to shut off the alarm to let the fat go." She sent us the “Biological Alarm” report.
First 14 Days: For the first time in a decade, I slept 8 hours. The "tight" feeling in Paul’s chest evaporated.
Month 2: The "brain fog" cleared. We both felt sharp, fast, and light for the first time in years.
Today: We are 104 lbs lighter combined. Paul hasn't snored in weeks, and I haven't touched a sleep pill since New Year's.
I’m sharing the link below because the "Health System" profits from our exhaustion. Check it out while it’s still available.
Take care, Jennifer x
