…And that’s a wrap on Rising Death 4, and the very first gig presented by Sin and Steel! 🤘🏻

The bands were all absolutely phenomenal, not only in terms of their performances, but to work with! They all had each other’s backs, prepared their arses off, and had a crisis averted before it even occurred! We had two bands make the journey across from Adelaide, and even some of their fam came in support, which is much appreciated!

The sound engineer was fantastic, venue staff were lovely, crowd was wonderful, and everything just came together incredibly well.

Big thanks to Steve of and for having me on board for the show this year, allowing me to dip my toe into event management in a way that I still had someone to talk me through things in the background when I needed, and I look forward to taking what I’ve learnt and arranging some things a little closer to home.

I can’t thank everyone individually or this will be nuts (and it’s already a novel), but thanks to those who helped with promo, particularly and for their radio time, to for bringing his camera and creativity out to catch some snaps of the bands, to my Mum, sisters, partner and BIL’s for coming along, calming me down, and hyping me up, (as well as all the other friends who joined us!) and once again to the bands .adl .adl and the venue for an amazing night!

You know I've gotta plug this show one last time before it all kicks off tonight at 7pm, because I am super excited!

Rising Death 4 is happening TONIGHT, 15th November at in Melbourne.

We have 5 incredible Aussie death metal bands hitting the stage in this intimate venue... really, you're not getting more up close and personal than this! And Rhys really does want you to scream in his face when Pendle Hill hit the stage.

With a mix of both Melbourne and Adelaide based bands, and a great variety of styles within the realm of death metal, this is going to be a killer night, so get on it!

I had the best time tonight presenting with my love, for a very special show on - a little prog special, that will be known as Prog Night with Paul!

Amongst it all, we’re packing in the Aeons Abyss LP launch show for Resurrection, Denazens first ever Melbourne show, and a number of end of year shows before some of the bands go into holiday season hibernation!
