🔥 Devastating Bushfires in NSW: Up to 16 Homes Lost

Our hearts go out to the communities affected by the severe bushfires across the NSW Mid North and Central Coasts. Up to 16 homes have been lost as fires continue to burn.

As of late Saturday afternoon, there are more than 75 bushfires burning across eastern and central NSW, with 19 yet to be contained.

Koolewong (on the Central Coast) and Milsons Gully (in the Upper Hunter) bore the brunt of the extreme fire conditions, with residents urged to evacuate just after midday.

The NSW Premier described today as a “very challenging day for NSW firefighters and a devastating day for people who have lost their homes”. Over 1,500 firefighters with 300 vehicles were deployed by the RFS.

🚨 Current Impact: Trains have stopped running on the Central Coast and Newcastle line after a fire broke out on Nimbin Road at Koolewong.

The bride and groom, who had booked tickets from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru and onwards to Hubballi for December 2, were stranded after their flights were repeatedly delayed from 9 AM on Tuesday until early morning the next day. The flight was eventually cancelled on December 3.

Several relatives travelling via Bhubaneswar-Mumbai-Hubballi also faced cancellations.

With guests already gathered and all preparations in place, the bride’s parents stepped in and sat in the seats reserved for the couple to perform the rituals.
