Additionally, we seek layout, production, digital publishing, social media and journalism skills.

We're holding a community meeting to talk about the newspaper's future.

Dear Parents,
As we approach the school holidays, we invite you to enrol your children in our exciting and enriching school holiday courses at The Centre! These courses are designed to give your kids a fun and educational experience during this break 🤩

Our carefully crafted courses cater to a variety of interests and age groups, ensuring there's something for everyone. Various engaging activities, from arts and crafts to technology, are planned to captivate your children's imaginations. Highlights of our courses include Make a Game (with Coding), Comic-Book Art, Clay Play and last but not the least Enchanted Forest 🥳

Lets with your SUPPORT!!!
For three-and-a-half years Docklands Neighbourhood House has been a part of The Centre working in Docklands. We’ve shared its joys and challenges. We’ve supported, advocated for, and worked together with residents and community groups, striving to grow and nurture the kind of Docklands we all want to see: a vibrant, inclusive, and active community that is proud to call the precinct home, and to call its neighbours friends.

If you believe that Docklands needs and deserves a community-led and focused organisation that is open to everyone, that works together with residents and community groups to realise the change they wish to see, that supports and advocates for vulnerable and marginalised members of the community...

Then please, raise your voice. Tell City of Melbourne that Docklands deserves its Neighbourhood House.

The Centre is offering plenty of Pilates classes for all ages to our community and beyond 😊

We are especially looking to fill in The West Melbourne Pilates class offered to the Beginners.

The venue is: The Quaker Centre
Every Thursday 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Cost: $177.30 ($19.70)

Our well-known instructors Alice Wilcox and Fernanda Cury are offering Pilates classes in North and West Melbourne.

While Matt Strickland is offering Pilates classes at Marina Docklands.

Papers, get your papers!!

The Spring edition of North and West Melbourne News has hit the streets. This edition is packed full of interesting stories and interesting people who call North & West Melbourne home.
Lilly the Lamb is our front page story. Why doesn't she like grass?
Artistic endeavours from Iranian playwright Mammad Aidani, Neo Ceramics and Lucy Guerin Inc
The News reports on local businesses Le Bajo Milk Bar, Small Batch - Roastery & Cellar Door and Lisa-Marie Parker Vocal Studio
Plus lots about dogs, our first ever "Spot the Difference" for school holiday distraction, The Centre: Connecting Community in North and West Melbourne Inc.'s 2020-21 Annual Report, news on what will replace Spring Fling Street Festival in 2021, looking back on local history, plus all the courses and activities on offer through to the end of the year.
Our volunteer team of distributors are busily getting 7700 newspapers into local letterboxes. Of course, the paper is online too: http://centre.org.au/nwm/latest_edition/ and you can check out to back issues.
The newspaper is created entirely by volunteers and we encourage new people to get involved in all aspects. DM to express your interest.
