The second single from the forthcoming sophomore album by 💎✨
experimental pop ensemble On Diamond is available on bandcamp and digital platforms accompanied by a Filmclip by acclaimed artist Tina Stefanou ⛓️⚔️ ++— 〰️✖️

“The downslide marks a collapse - a point where progress feels perpetually out of reach. You can’t see yourself functioning as you need to, even though you’re trying so hard, and the desire to transcend is overshadowed by doubt and confusion. The song’s melodic repetition speaks to the repetitive grind of psychological work, and the monotony of sadness. There is a desire to find joy and fulfilment, but Downslide primarily gives space to being stuck in the bottomless pit.” - Lisa Salvo, On Diamond

Letting the wheel go by speaks about patterned reactions to our surroundings and to others, shaped by past experiences. While they act as protective coping mechanisms, they often distance us from the present, including our present selves. The song reflects on the sticky nature of trauma and explores a cyclic approach to acceptance and grief. It hopes to move with the past into the present (and future) towards harmony.

Triple R's Album of the Week is Luxury Bat, the new album from CHWH, a Narrm-based collective linked to Eastmint, a local artist-run studio, event space and label. The album's six tracks blend structured songwriting with improvisation to create fluid, open-ended soundscapes connected to the natural world.

In a recent interview with Jazz Feldy of Good Fortune, Genevieve Fry of the group explained: "I like to think of us as quite a slow band... things evolve in their own time." Compositions grow gradually, sometimes over years, with Fry bringing initial lyrics and chordal structure to the group before they collectively expand on them.
