Two men allegedly switched into a second stolen car, which was later also found on fire, with no arrests made and no injuries reported.

A Victorian police officer has been convicted of 10 assault charges after capsicum spraying a man and deploying his taser nine times in less than a minute during an arrest in Warragul.

Senior Constable Aaron Bowen was fined $11,000 after a magistrate found his use of force was unlawful, excessive and disproportionate.

The incident, captured on body-worn cameras, has also sparked a civil claim against Victoria Police.

Victorians will soon be able to access oral contraceptives directly from participating pharmacies without needing a GP prescription.

From July, the expanded Chemist Care Now program will also offer treatment for mild acne, dermatitis and some minor musculoskeletal conditions.

Patients will still undergo a private consultation with a specially trained pharmacist before receiving medication.

A man has been seriously injured after being struck by a car in a Mickleham shopping centre car park.

Police allege a grey Mitsubishi Lancer accelerated towards the 34-year-old before hitting him and fleeing the scene at around 7:28pm on Monday.

Investigators have released CCTV of the vehicle and driver, anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
