RMITV RMITV is a not-for-profit independent media production group and community access television product

RMITV is a department of RUSU (RMIT University Student Union). We operate as a student television production facility based at RMIT University City Campus in Melbourne, Australia. We are one of the founding members of the Melbourne Community Television Consortium; the not-for-profit consortium that operates the community access channel Channel 31 in Melbourne. RMITV is committed to producing high

quality, innovative and entertaining programs, whilst providing practical media experience for RMIT students and the wider community. RMITV is the oldest community television organization in Australia and out of the MCTC’s 40 member groups, RMITV is the largest producer of community television content. We endeavour to help young, often first-time producers realise their goals and dreams in the complicated yet fulfilling area of television production. We have a long history of successful producers and practitioners moving into professional employment within the Australian television industry. Our list of alumni shows that RMITV is highly regarded in the film and television industry. Our alumni include; Rove (Roving Enterprises), Peter Hellier, Corrine Grant, Hamish & Andy (Fox FM), Shona Devlin (JTV - Triple J), and Andrew Tacon (Foxtel). Many of our past crew members have progressed to the industry, working for the ABC, J-TV, The Einstein Factor, Network Ten, Jonathan M Shiff Productions, Toombak, Indigenous Production, Videoworks, Staging Connections, The David Letterman Show, Fox TV and on recent films such as Charlottes Web, Irresistible, and Kenny.

‘Who’s Speaking Please’ is our new Flagship Production for Semester 2! 🎉

And they’re looking for a Line Producer! 〰️

In an age of Artificial Intelligence, we offer something else, human intelligence, filled with failures, mistakes and random brain waves. We take Improv artists, Voice artists, Comedians and Actors and throw them in together into a team with 3 other strangers to create a dynamic human creative force. Those teams will face off against another team of similarly creative rando’s to compete for a trophy of highly anticipated value through a series of handcrafted improv voice over games. Hosted by seasoned comedy veterans this show delivers on every promise.

Hens Night is a q***r comedy about Cleo, a sapphic book club leader and political le***an. Cleo masterminds a hens night to stop her bachelorette bestie Angie from marrying a man, and must confront her own internalised pain and bigotry before a disgraced pop queen turns all straight people into zombies.

We need a videographer!

We’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to produce an episode of 5FS!

We want to capture the studio environment, giving viewers a glimpse of the side commentary and the real-time decisions that go into making the show.

We would need you to film for the 10th of September (which is 3 weeks time).
