In this video, I'll be exploring 5 video production trends that will help you stay up-to-date in order to produce high-quality, engaging content for 2023.

1. A.I. video production tools
2. Video storytelling
3. Customised stock footage
4. Hybrid event videos
5. Video-based learning

To be honest, it was tricky to only feature 5 of these trends such is the influence video content has on training, marketing and comms.

Special mention (and just as essential) to these trends as well:
> Interactive video
> Continued rise of vertical and square video formats
> Personalised video
> AR and VR content

It’s time for the 2022 Visual Culture video review.

It’s amazing to stop and look back at just how much video content we produced this year (and if I included the agency work in this highlights package, the duration would be twice as long!)

Thank you as always to our wonderful clients for the opportunity to work with you, and of course my personal gratitude to the crew who have helped bring these projects to life.

We can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2023!

I'm celebrating a major milestone in my career. To be honest, I was amazed when I worked out that I had actually hit this milestone.

And yes, I do remember each and every video in great detail...

Big thanks to all the amazing clients and talented crew along the journey.

In this video I share my predictions for the Top 5 Video Content Trends for 2021.

While 2020 saw everything turned upside down, I thought it was important to reflect on my predictions from 2020 to see how many of these were still relevant.

My top 5 last year were:
* LinkedIn Video
* Online Video Courses
* Interactive Video
* DIY Filmed Video Content
* Video Podcasts

So which of these trends made the cut this year? Which trends became even more essential for business communications and marketing? And what will be the video trends that made waves in 2020 and will see continued growth in 2021?

Do you agree with my list, anything you would add or change? Perhaps you would like me to delve further into specific trends in future videos? I'd love to see your comments below.

All the best for a fantastic year ahead!

I’m very pleased to share this testimonial video from Michael Smith, Chairman of 7-Eleven Australia. It was a fantastic experience to produce a ‘company documentary’, shown to the wider 7-Eleven internal team.

This was such a great initiative, the documentary style is very powerful for comms and a format that is under-utilised I believe. Not only is it about filming your conversations, it’s creating an engaging story with a purpose from that content, one that will inspire.

My role was to operate solo filming these conversations, a fly-on-the-wall experience. Moving discreetly to cover multiple angles as the conversation flowed naturally and picking the moments to capture relevant overlay or the reactions of each person. It was the video editor side of me that dictated the video coverage, ensuring I had plenty of content to give a well-rounded insight into the key topics.

My goal is to make the viewer feel they are almost part of the conversation and to give a true sense of the location. To open up the viewers knowledge and gain a greater understanding.

I feel very privileged to have worked with Michael and everyone involved on this project to capture and share these stories, thank you again for the opportunity.

Recently we ‘remotely’ produced the 2020 Awards of Excellence video presentation for Life Saving Victoria and I’m pleased to be able to share this highlights video.

Unfortunately for us, filming in Victoria was not an option, and my recent LinkedIn posts have shown MC Carol Fox recording her segments in a Gold Coast green screen studio.

For the other segments, it was using video conferencing to direct our other presenters, sponsors, nominees and winners to record on their smartphones.

It was all then combined with existing archive footage and images, inspiring music, dynamic animated elements, themed transitions and photo slideshows to deliver an engaging 90 minute awards presentation.

Seen live on the night by a large audience through the LSV website, their FaceBook and YouTube channels, the content has since been repurposed for ongoing social media content and other important updates.

There are so many creative treatments you can apply for your pre-recorded content.

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, and thanks again Life Saving Victoria for giving us the privilege to bring the Annual Awards to your audience and members.
