Running live events is like juggling flaming torches… while riding a unicycle… on Zoom.

And yet, this one felt good.

In November we wrapped another live-streamed masterclass with the crew at Kieser. A couple of hours. Multiple presenters. Live Q&A. Moving parts galore.

Earlier this year we did our first masterclass with Kieser.

And as anyone who’s ever wrangled a run sheet with one hand and waved at the Zoom chat with the other knows - there’s always room to tighten a few bolts.

So we debriefed. Properly. The kind where everyone can say the thing they were thinking but maybe didn’t want to interrupt a livestream to say.

And that made all the difference.

We rebuilt parts of our workflow. Refined the assets. Sharpened the transitions. Adjusted the briefing process so the whole team (ours and theirs) felt like they were walking in with a map, not a mystery.

The result? Solid. Confident. Dare we say…fun?

Huge props to the Kieser team for trusting us (again!) to help bring this to life. The content was strong, the energy was high, and word on the street is teams across the country were properly engaged.

Already looking at what we can improve for next time - because that’s the gig.

Big jobs = big vibes.

We love when we get to bring more crew into a project. Not just because many hands make light work - but because the people we work with are freakin’ brilliant.

They add things we can’t. They lift the whole thing. And our core team gets to lead the charge with energy, clarity, and purpose.

Directing? It’s part taste, part vibe conductor.

Get the whole crew humming, and the work sings.

We got to film at a beautiful home down on the coast to showcase Early Settler's new summer range of furniture. The weather forecast at the start of the week was a bit patchy, but in true Victorian fashion the rain stayed away and the sun came out to play.

Which means Matt's now in charge of everything.

Thing.

If you see smoke over Collingwood, assume I double-booked a camera and a coffee order. But seriously - she’s earned it. And we’ll miss her big time. Have the best time, Chase.

Sometimes, a project just clicks.

You get a great brief. A brilliant concept. A client who says, “Yeah, let’s have some fun with this.” And somehow, it all just… works.

This was that one.

We were handed a brief that could’ve gone conservative - safe, predictable, beige.

After all, the market we were speaking to wasn’t exactly known for its appetite for glitter cannons and punchlines.

But the idea? Still Got It.

It was cheeky. It was smart. It nodded to age without ever patronising it. And most importantly - it had heart.

So we leaned in.

Three lead characters, all aged 65-plus. A retired rocker, still rocking (just in a chair, not a mosh pit). A glam queen who still wears heels - just not on stairs. And a speed demon who’s swapped hot laps for high-vis scooters.

Honestly? Some of the best casting we’ve ever done.

The people who came through that audition room were absolute legends.

Funny, vibrant, generous - and made ageing feel like something to look forward to, not fear. I left every session with a grin and a quiet sense of optimism for my own eventual greying.

The shoot itself was pure joy. The kind you bottle and try to carry into your next gig.

But here’s the real kicker…

This campaign proved something. That “fun” doesn’t have to mean silly.

That humour can exist in serious industries. And that you can push the creative envelope without disrespecting your audience or their lived experience.

The result? Work we’re proud of.

Characters people remember.

And a message that cuts through: you don’t stop being you just because the calendar ticks over.

This was the kind of job that reminds you why you got into the game.

And if you’re ever told, “That won’t work in our space,” well - this project is living proof that it just might.
