SYN SYN Media is a Melbourne-based youth community media organisation broadcasting on 90.7 FM and online. We have a Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct.

Founded in 2003, SYN is run by people aged 12–25 and provides hands-on training and experience in radio, podcasting and media production. SYN is a youth-run community media organisation run by young people for young people, providing broadcast and training opportunities for young Australians, and empowering them through media making. We believe young people should be the creators, not just consumers of media and advocates for their own experiences on decisions that impact them. Our Values:

Introducing the enchanting Queenie as this month’s Feature Artist at SYN.

Raised on Lutruwita/Tasmania’s vast, open landscapes and now based in Naarm/Melbourne, Queenie’s work carries a sense of expansiveness, self assurance and feminine power.

She may have begun as an alter ego emerging from the ashes of heart break, but with her new album Pleasance, Queenie is no longer stepping into a persona, she is stepping into herself.

Robert Baxter has built a career on refusing to sit still. Raised on Yorta Yorta Country before relocating to Naarm, the nonbinary Taiwanese/Australian artist treats vulnerability, desire, and humour as the same material, worked and reworked until the line between sincerity and irony disappears.

PARTYANIMAL is the fullest expression of that instinct yet — a record that tracks a night out in real time, from the first drink to the drive home at sunrise.
