Captain Earwax drops his latest body of work & sixth full length album, 'An ocean on my table' today!

Originally starting out as a 'beat tape' as Melbourne's entered an enforced lockdown and as the days passed the sounds started to take shape to become a 12 track LP. Featuring drums by Plutonic Lab, horns by Harri Harding, guitar parts by Rapaport, and more!

To***co Rat has dropped his latest offering in the 'Year of the Rat' series with the SPLICE EP.

This two track EP sees the Rat head down a more downtempo path, using almost exclusively samples from online sample based library Splice.

SPLICE A: uses samples almost exclusively from Splice. It started with a beat loop and a long drawn out choir sound. From there the track became a beast of its own.

SPLICE B: uses exactly one sample from Splice, but it’s the vocal and main melody sample, which is where the whole track is born from. I had just listened to a Clozee song, searched for vocals and found this sample and then the rest fell into place using my own sample bank, VST’s and a hardware synth.

Captain Earwax has dropped the visuals for his latest single, Futures Occupied ft. FREDE.

This clip is a kinetic collage of colours and textural layers to animate the human form, intended to be viewed as a moving painting.
