sorry, i've been terribly absent. i'm not on or around Facebook much these days!
i can barely bring myself to come here even for professional/networking/artist-related stuff, partially because i forget, as a result of ceasing it's use in my personal life.

𝘀𝗰:𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 could be best described as a diehard zealot for bass and breaks. Based in Melbourne/Naarm, she occupies roles of composer/producer and DJ at the jagged precipice of jungle music's edge. She pushes sounds that, while somewhat diverse, mostly carry the motifs of hard hitting breakbeats as well as confrontational atmospheres carrying a sense of danger, impending threat and, most of all, 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙.

hello there!
got a couple releases for your Friday.

first off, a single titled 'dread omen'. does what it says on the box, i guess.

secondly, a four-track EP i've called 'sc:ssors presents: the unknown'.
these are a selection of otherwise inaccessible dubs i've been sitting on for some time, initially with the intention of using them as a showcase of sorts, maybe for label submission. i've decided to send them public instead.

i titled it 'escalation dub' and i think it lives up to its name, with a rapid acceleration into brutal amen worship after a classic darkside piano ti**le. plenty of dub sirens and otherwise dread-soaked '4.30am in a warehouse on too many drugs' vibes.

taking the leap and undertaking my first foray into DJing in front of live audience for 2CLUB2CRYPTIC w/ Too Birds, Bayang [SYD], JUPiTA + MORE, the second of Club Cryptic's 'free expression party' style events.

i'll be on early apparently, but that won't stop the dread junglism flowing [which may or may not turn out to be entirely inappropriate for the hour.]
