Months ago when I bought this skirt from I knew I wanted to wear it to the Women In Business Networking Event. I wanted to stand out, I wanted to be memorable... because through my business I'm changing the culture of how women are represented in film. But I can't do it alone.

Creating this monumental change in the film industry relies on the community of women who support me and want to take action to make a difference.

By wearing this skirt and tshirt (which arrived in the post only yesterday!), and standing out - so many doors opened for me today, to the point where I am completely shocked, amazed and extremely grateful to the generosity and support of Fabian Dattner, Nillumbik Shire Council and all the business women in the local community 💕

So here's to showing up as your authentic self, being bold, embracing your femininity and having the courage to stand out! 🥂🙌

People criticise me for believing the film industry is a broken system, and that change / different approaches are needed and necessary... but what does it cost to not acknowledge something isn't working and refuse to embrace change or something new?

At the end of the day, idgaf what others continue to subject themselves to because the way I work is not the toxic, traditional way that we're taught in film school. And I only collaborate with those who feel that same so it's a win-win :)

Crew members think of a movie not so much as a business but as an opportunity. So when confronted with someone for whom film is purely a business, they are in a vulnerable position and are easily exploited. It’s easy to exploit them. We have to admit, this is an interesting time to be making films... and we're curious to see how it all plays out.
