For the final chapter of our project with Adobe Photoshop, Elly Malone reveals her finished artwork to Sydney DJ and producer Zarni, bringing together his street photography, the warm tones of the Pataka Boys reference and the story behind the playlist’s title.

🐟 From street photography to the final ‘Offcut Luxury’ cover, Elly Malone breaks down how she brought her concept for Zarni’s Complex playlist to life using Adobe Photoshop.

Starting with one of Zarni’s own photographs, Elly used tools like Generative Fill, Transform and Layer Cleanup alongside colour, illustration and texture to reshape the original image and build out the final artwork.

🤝 Melbourne illustrator and graphic designer Elly Malone teamed up with Sydney DJ and producer Zarni to create the cover artwork for his new Complex playlist, Offcut Luxury.

Taking inspiration from Zarni’s approach to sampling, Elly worked with Zarni’s street photography and a range of references from the playlist to start building the artwork in Adobe Photoshop.
