Well, firstly, we're awesome (of course). But most importantly, we asked!

But we didn’t just remember to ask. We put a system in place that asks for us.

I’m super pumped (and more than a tad excited) to be heading to Sydney next week to speak at Business Blueprint, not once, but twice!

I feel incredibly honoured to be part of the speaker lineup for this awesome event. Dale Beaumont always puts on amazing events, and I know this one will be no different, so I have my A Game loaded.

I’ll be taking the main stage to share ā€œWhy Facebook Ads Are Changing & What’s Working BEST Right Now.ā€ Expect loads of insights, practical tips, and a clear picture of where the opportunities are.

I went to Singapore a couple of weeks ago to train the marketing department of a Fortune 500 company on how to better integrate AI into their everyday workflows.

Their team was smart, highly capable, and, like so many small business owners I work with, they were doing loads of repetitive tasks that weren't the best use of their talents.

So we focused on removing those joy zapping activities from their daily existence. Simple ways they could use AI to save time, reduce repetition, and become more efficient in their roles, whilst enjoying the process of building something new, and increasing the quality of their output.

I have been reflecting on this since my return, and it reminded me that whether you’re running a global corporation or a solo business from your kitchen table, the challenge is the same.

It’s not about having access to AI, it’s about knowing how to use it well.

And that’s exactly what I love teaching.

If you’re still feeling unsure where to begin, just start with one task. One process. One small win.

Then build from there. You might be surprised just how much time, headspace, and joy you can reclaim.

You know the one…

ā€œWhen are you free?ā€
ā€œI can do Tuesday afternoon.ā€
ā€œActually, I’ve got something on then. What about Friday?ā€
ā€œOh, I’m away Friday. Maybe next week?ā€

And it goes on and on. It's pure madness!

I can’t believe people are still doing this dance.

I’ve had a calendar booking link for at least 10 years.
If someone asks to meet with me, I send them the link. They book a time that suits them. Done.
It’s that simple.

I honestly can’t imagine how many hours I’ve saved by not having to do the email ping-pong dance.

And it’s not just about time. It’s about making it easy for people to work with you.

Come on people. It’s 2025.

We should not be going back-and-forth trying to set up meetings. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Rant over.

If you've ever launched a lead magnet, and it didn't live up to your expectations, then you know the pain.

But let me put your mind at ease. It most likely wasn't because it was no good. After all, you spent waaaay to many hours obsessing over the content and design for that to be the problem.

Most lead magnets fail because of what happens after someone signs up.

No nurture sequence.
No follow-up strategy.
Broken forms. Outdated links.
Or worse… it never actually gets launched.

Ouch, I know.

Before you create another freebie, ask yourself:
- Does it lead somewhere strategic?
- Is there a long-term nurture sequence in place?
- Is your opt-in clunky, broken or out of date (quick, go check this now)
- Are you promoting it consistently?
- Or is it still sitting in Google Drive waiting to go live? 😬

When your lead magnet doesn't work, don't give up on it and create another one. Save yourself the time, and fix the ones you've already got, and they might actually start converting.

When was the last time you reviewed your current lead magnets to see if they need a little TLC (or the light shined on them again)? There's no time like the present.

Just tested something new… and I’m a bit chuffed with how it turned out.

I’ve set up an AI Agent to answer my work phone when I can’t get to it. And honestly, it’s pretty impressive. She even has an Aussie accent!

Her name’s Immy (short for Impactiv8, of course šŸ˜‰), and she introduces herself as my AI Voice Assistant. She lets callers know we’re not available and takes a message so we can get back to them faster.

I know AI voice tech can be a bit polarising, but to me, this feels like a step up from voicemail. It's more efficient for me, and a smoother experience for the caller. Win/win.

I’m running it as a bit of a test for now and curious to see how it goes.

I’m tired today. Like, really tired.

All I want is an early night snuggling up under my doona, with my dog (and hubby).

But instead, I’m packing my swim bag and heading out the door to training. Not because I want to (it’s freezing outside). But because I know I’ll be better off for it.

Funny how it works. The days I least want to go are usually the ones I get the most out of. Will tonight be the same? Well, I won't know if I don't go.

Business is a bit like that too.
Some days, the last thing you feel like doing is showing up online.
Posting that content. Sending that email. Planning that next piece.

But those are often the days when the discipline pays off.

That one post could spark the idea.
That email might bring in the lead.
That action could create the momentum.

So if today’s one of those days for you, when the doona calls louder than your marketing... I get it.

But maybe just take one small step anyway.
