You don’t need more content ideas.
You need to stop pretending your screenshots folder doesn’t exist.

That caption you saved last week?
The one you screenshotted because it made you pause mid-scroll?
Yeah, that one.

Go look at it again.
Ask yourself why it stood out.
And then write your version of it.

Not theirs with a filter.
Not a copy-paste in slightly different font.
Yours. With context. With relevance. With actual thought behind it.

Because the ideas are already there.
You’re just ignoring them.

Honestly, how many screenshots do you have? I’m sitting at 2332!

Tomorrow will be the first of many…
No card to write. No call to make. Just a flower at a headstone and a heart a little heavier than usual.

The thing no one tells you is that Mother’s Day doesn’t really land until your mum isn’t here to visit.

Tomorrow won’t stop for feelings. We’ve got sport in the morning, people to see, errands to run, and I’ll be in the middle of it all, holding it together. But in between the running around, I know I’ll feel it.

Tomorrow will be a mix. Love and loss. Pride and ache. Grief and gratitude, woven together.

Here’s to the mums who raised us. And the mums were still trying to be, without them. If you’re someone feeling the push and pull of joy and loss tomorrow, I see you.

If you missed the last couple of weeks, another Melbourne agency copied and pasted large sections of my website copy and tried to pass it off as their own.

Here’s how it’s gone down since:

I sent the emails. No response.
I sent the SMS. No response.
I sent the cease and desist.
And shocker…crickets! 🫣

(Rude, I know.)

But over the weekend, the website in question has finally been updated.

They’ve removed most of the plagiarised copy (still holding onto a little event reels summary that’s, let’s just say, sounds very familiar), changed their business name, and completely shifted a lot of their services to focus on PR and event management.

Do it’s great that they learnt a lesson, but in all I’ve this, i’m still left disappointed. Not an email. Not a message. Not even a half-hearted “oops.” To this day, I’ve heard boo.

So here’s what I’ll say:

It’s one thing to make a mistake.
It’s another thing entirely to stay silent when you get called on it.

And my advice to all of you. Protect your work. Know your worth. Call things what they are.
And never let anyone make you feel small for asking people to respect your business, your time, or your words.

Listen and learn, copycats. 🙊

Because what went down yesterday on Stories? It needs a more permanent spot right here on the grid.

Short version:
A Melbourne social media agency thought it was totally fine to lift chunks of my services page. Copy, structure, tone, everything, and post it on their own website with a couple of edits and a shiny new price tag.

Let’s be clear:
That’s not “inspired by.”
That’s not “we love your vibe.”
That’s called plagiarism. Full stop.

Now look, I’m the first to cheer on fellow agencies. I love this industry. I believe there’s space for all of us to do excellent, intentional work. But here’s the catch: you’ve got to show up with your own voice.

And if you call yourself a content creator but can’t actually create your own content? We’ve got bigger problems than duplicate web copy.

Originality matters.
Integrity matters.
Your voice? That’s your power.
But if you’re out here stealing someone else’s?
That speaks to your integrity as a person!

Would you speak up or let it slide?
Let’s talk about it below 👇

So. Instagram dropped a new video editing app overnight. Edits is finally here.

I downloaded it and spent the last hour experimenting with it.

It’s giving… CapCut.
It’s very much giving CapCut.
It is CapCut.
But make it Meta.

To be fair, it’s not bad. Some great features tucked in there and it’s definitely user-friendly.

But let’s not pretend it’s not the classic Instagram move:
Copy, paste, pretend it was their idea (classic Insta!)

Will I use it again? Probably.
Am I impressed? Mildly.
Will I abandon CapCut for it? Not unless CapCut stops working or personally offends me.

Anyway, that’s my completely unrequested and very emotionally neutral review.

I would love to know your thoughts!
Will you try it? Have you tried it?

✨ “You’re so lucky.” ✨

The compliment that almost feels nice… until you remember it erases every 3am panic spiral, every ‘maybe I’m not cut out for this’, every time you chose your business over brunch, sleep, or sanity.

Luck? Babe, I built this!

With big dreams, bigger doubts, and a to-do list that multiplies faster than Regina George’s burn book pages.

So no, it’s not luck.
It’s late nights, learning curves, and more resilience than I ever signed up for.

This is your reminder that the success you’re building?
It’s not luck either.
It’s you, doing the hard things, showing up messy, and making it happen anyway.

Now go back to being your own damn lucky charm and tag your business bestie to let them know they’re doing a damn good job too!

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk!

Oh, Paul. We’ve all met a Paul.
The ones who tell you they’re happy. That it’s working. That you’re aligned and things feel promising…
And then they go sniffing around for “options”.

Here’s the thing:
If they’re serious, they won’t need to test the waters.
If they trust you, they won’t ask for a discount.
And if they’re the right client? They’ll choose you fully, without needing a backup plan.

Say no to Paul energy. You deserve committed clients who are all in.

What are your thoughts? Is Paul a dick? 😂

Everywhere you turn, people are talking about AI. How to use it, how to automate with it, how to make it do your taxes (kidding, kinda). And look, I get it. Mate, I even teach people how to use AI for social media. It’s smart, it’s efficient, and it’s saving us all from writing “Happy Monday!” captions.

But here’s the thing…while AI is taking over the world, there are a few things it will NEVER replace:

1️⃣ Human Emotion & Gut Instinct – AI can crunch data, but it can’t pick up when your bestie is “fine” but actually wants to bitch slap the world.

2️⃣ Moral & Ethical Judgment – AI won’t stop you from making a questionable business decision… like working for “exposure.” (Please, no. That’s a whole other post actually!)

3️⃣ The Chaos of Small Business Life – AI might track your cash flow, but it would never understand why you’ll agonise over a $10 software subscription while impulse-buying a $90 skincare serum.

4️⃣ True Human Connection – AI can generate messages, but it can’t send the “Hey girl, I saw your story, are you okay?!” text with genuine concern.

So yes, AI is cool. But at the end of the day, we’re humans running businesses for other humans so don’t forget that!

Are you using AI, fighting AI, or still trying to figure out how to log in?

You’ve got a 10-hour flight (lucky you), but here’s the twist: who’s in your row? 👀

💺 Row A: A masterclass in life & leadership with Oprah (queen of deep convos) and Mark Bouris (business boss energy). Serious power moves happening here.

💺 Row B: Mel Robbins & Melanie Perkins, because who wouldn’t want a seat between two of the most game-changing, badass women in business? Motivation, mindset shifts, and Canva hacks? Yes, please.

💺 Row C: Aussie legends Zoe Foster Blake & Hamish Blake. Expect belly laughs, skincare tips, and maybe an impromptu podcast episode.

💺 Row D: The ultimate A-list row: Taylor Swift & Channing Tatum. TayTay storytelling plus Magic Mike moves? Say less.

Me? I’m planting myself in Row B! 🙋‍♀️ Give me Mel Robbins’ no-nonsense mindset shifts and Melanie Perkins’ billion-dollar Canva genius any day. These two women built their empires from the ground up and changed the game, and let’s be real, I’d probably leave that flight ready to take over the world. I might also strategically place myself in view of Channing Tatum because…well…it’s Channing Tatum.

So, who are you sitting with and why?

3 whole years of Jade keeping this business (and let’s be honest, me) in check. 🎈🥳🎉🍾

She’s the person who arrives at a 9am meeting at 7:30 just in case, who tells me to switch off while secretly replying to emails after hours, and who somehow always knows what I need before I do.

She’s my right hand, my sounding board, my “let’s be realistic” voice of reason when my ideas get a little too wild. And let’s not forget her unofficial role as my in-house therapist.

Three years of absolute gold, and I know this business is safe in her hands for the next three, ten, or forever. So please, join me in wishing Jade a massive congratulations (and maybe telling her to take a break… but we all know she won’t).

Drop your love for Jade in the comments—she deserves it all! ❤️

Have you seen the “I met my younger self for a coffee” trend? It’s a powerful reflection on how far we’ve come—the lessons learned, the mindset shifts, the things we wish we’d known sooner.

I had a go at it, and here’s mine… ☕✨👇

“I met my younger self for coffee today.

She was already there, of course—30 minutes early, just in case. I arrived right on time, because I’ve learned that time is precious, and I’m not spending half an hour sitting in the car waiting.

She ordered a hot chocolate (coffee? Ew). I ordered an almond mocha—still a little chocolate, but with a kick—or sometimes, a peppermint tea, because I finally learned to slow down.

She told me she was intimidated by others. Others being better. Looking better. Doing better. I told her I still feel that way sometimes, but I try not to let it shape my days. It’s a constant battle, that little voice in your head, but you’ll learn to see your own strengths too. You have so many.

She told me her mum was annoying sometimes. I told her I wish I’d hugged mine more, told her she was incredible more often—because we assume they’ll be around forever, and that’s not always how life works.

She told me she had so many friends. I told her I have only a few I can truly rely on, but I know a lot of people. There’s a difference.

She didn’t think she was smart enough to run a business. I reminded her she now advises others on how to grow theirs.

She was convinced the best way to market a business was through a letterbox drop. I laughed and told her, There’s this thing called social media—it changes everything. And guess what? You’re going to understand it so well that you’ll build a business around it.

She thought burnout was just part of success. I told her I now choose rest as fiercely as I choose ambition.

We hugged. She still has so much to learn. So do I.”

WHATS 1 THING YOU WOULD TELL YOUR YOUNGER SELF?

Ohhh, Instagram. A dislike button? Really? In today’s world? 🫣

Listen, I get it. The internet can be a wild place, and not every comment deserves a standing ovation. But do we really need another way to spread negativity? Do we really need a button that just quietly tells someone, Hey, someone out there didn’t vibe with this?

And look, I know that Instagram is a place where people can voice their opinions, and sometimes those opinions are negative, derogatory, or just downright awful. But here’s the problem—people always take things too far. A tool designed to push down harmful comments? In theory, great. In reality? We all know it’ll be used in ways it wasn’t intended for. A comment doesn’t have to be offensive to get disliked—sometimes, people are just a-holes and like to stir trouble. So suddenly, we’re in a space where people can dish out silent little jabs, just because they feel like it.

So I’ve got to ask… why? What’s the point? And more importantly, what do you think? Tell me in the comments—do we need this, or is it just another way to make social media that little bit harsher?
