While travelling, I came across a traditional “Weal Perehara”, a beautiful cultural procession connected to the faith and traditions of Sri Lanka’s hill country.

What caught my eye was a family of tourists, completely immersed in the moment, capturing this beautiful experience for themselves.

I captured them capturing Sri Lanka. 📸

That’s the beauty of travelling here — unexpected moments, rich traditions, and stories waiting around every corner.

I’m so glad I had my camera with me that day.

මාස දෙකකට කලින් මම ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ හිටියේ කිසිම විශේෂ වැඩකටවත්, ඡායාරූපකරණයකටවත් නෙවෙයි… හුඟාක් පෞද්ගලික හේතුවක් නිසා ගිය ගමනක්. ❤️

ඒ අතරේ, සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම අහම්බෙන් වගේ මේ අවස්ථාව මට හමුවුණා.

ඇත්තටම ඒ වෙලාවේ මගේ කැමරාව අතට ගන්නවත්, shoot කරන්නවත් මනසක් තිබුණේ නැහැ. ඒත්… කැමරාව අතට ගත්ත මොහොතේ හැමදේම වෙනස් වුණා.

Two months ago, during a very personal visit to Sri Lanka, I unexpectedly found myself witnessing and capturing a beautiful celebration of Sri Lankan traditional dance. It was a wonderful expression of Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage by Thittapajjala Dance Troupe

I wasn’t even in the mood to photograph that day. But the moment I picked up my camera, everything changed.

What started as a completely unexpected moment became a beautiful memory — not only of Sri Lankan culture, but also an unforgettable chapter in my photography journey.

Sometimes, the best stories are the ones we never planned to capture. 🇱🇰📸

This beautiful family session at The Langham, Melbourne somehow turned into something beyond a family photoshoot — it felt like stepping back into their wedding day and recreating those beautiful memories all over again. ✨

Same love. Same smiles. A new chapter.

It’s been 3 weeks.

Focusing on art has been the best therapy for me. And of course, my camera — she’s my Therapist. 📸

Going out, exploring, and capturing moments has become my kind of Counselling.

Editing - Its my meditation ❤️ , Such a great way to concentrate on a moment.
