Back in 2015 I had the pleasure to produce the 2nd album for Melbourne-based Blues giant, Jesse Valach. That album went on to be nominated for best blues album of the year. Shortly thereafter, Jesse suffered a major health challenge and was unable to play nor sing for a long time.

This afternoon we commenced the 3rd album for Jesse Valach. I am extremely proud of our work together thus far and a new album is most certainly very exciting.

We’ve chosen to track the beds live at Matt Robins’ Coloursound Studios in Altona.
A wealth of vintage gear to colour our signal before hitting the converters.

This album harks Jesse’s return from some serious health challenges and I am sincerely grateful to have this opportunity of working with him again.

...and that's an End of an Era for the Rooftop Studio complex at 448 St Kilda Rd in Melbourne.
Final session today before decommissioning ToKwerX.
The relocation is only 10 doors or so down the road, but will still take me the best part of a week to dismantle, pack, relocate, unpack then recommission the system.

How exciting though to have a brand new space with excellent amenities. New address is Suite 201, 1 Queens Rd, Melbourne 3004
