Chicken and Potato Pasties make 8
What you will need:
410g can whole baby potatoes, drained 1 Egg, lightly beaten
1/2 barbecued chicken, skin removed, meat shredded
2/3 cup sour cream 3/4 frozen peas, thawed
1 tablespoon curry powder 2 tablespoon sesame seeds
4 frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
mango chutney and salad to serve
What to do:
1. Preheat oven to 220c, line 2 oven tray with baking paper.
2. Place drained potatoes in a large bowl and roughly mash with a fork .
3. Add chicken, sour cream, peas and curry powder, season to taste, mix well.
4. Cut pastry sheets in half diagonally, spoon filling evenly onto pastry triangles.
5. Brush pastry edges with beaten egg.
6. Fold in half to enclose, pinching edges to seal.
7. Transfer to trays, brush with remaining egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
8. Bake 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden.
9. Serve pasties warm with chutney and salad.
