One of the trickiest holes in Australian golf.

The 16th at Cape Wickham, which I captured in January during the King Island Pro-Am.

This hole is treacherous from tee to green. If you can avoid the rocks and ocean off the tee while finding a fairway that falls sharply towards the coastline, you then have to do it all again with your approach.

One of the joys of playing Cape Wickham is using the firm fescue surrounds to feed your approach shots onto greens and, chances are, you’ll need to do that here.

Not a bad spot for a photo, either.

Think of the greats: 15 at Kingston Heath, 16 at Victoria and 7 West & 4 East at Royal Melbourne.
