A gentle reminder that the end of the year is not a time to celebrate for everyone.

2023 for many represents sadness, loss, heartbreak, tears and loneliness. To package that all up in a bow today may not feel right and that is okay.

New Year’s Eve doesn’t have to mark a time for pause or reflection if you don’t want it to.

Today’s love notes are body positive themed because this weekend, I felt chunky and not funky. We hate that for me.

When I’m feeling like this, I always try and take the time to remind myself that I wasn’t put on this earth to be pretty or skinny. I am much more than that and I promise you are too.

Imagine if today was your last day on earth and you said no to the cake or spent it punishing your body in the gym. I know I’d be pretty sad about that. 💌✨

It would be rude not to eternalise the recent words of for on the feed. In her 40 musings to celebrate her 40th birthday, I can’t stop thinking about the first one in particular.

I often spend my days upset that I haven’t found ‘my person’ or pondering the fact that I may never ‘find love.’ But as Alexa Chung puts it, it is just so unequivocally inaccurate. Every single day, my life is filled with love and perhaps, I’ve already met the great loves of my life.

Whether that be from my best friends who know when I need to be nurtured and vice versa, my family who are my greatest supporters or the stranger’s dog that chose ME in the park to say hello to, there is no lack of love in my life and I doubt there is in yours too 💌✨
