Digital painting is fun and brings out the playful in me.
I can imagine this either as a textile or an enormous mural, bold and uplifting. I made it on my iPad.

‘Light of magnolia’ (from my photo)
Acrylic on canvas, and then sewn onto a cushion as an idea I’ve been having called:
‘room jools.’
But this one is a gift for a dear friend.

I have loved life drawing course so, much, and can’t wait until August when the next one starts.
This is my experiment with conté, the wonderful model is Paul from , who sits so still and inhabits his body so deeply, he’s a great pleasure to draw, and a lovely person. 🙏🏼

The Mornington Peninsula Shire Council are proposing to cut funding to many, many Arts and Cultural institutions, communities and organisations. Many of us met The Pig & Whistle yesterday to be photographed by the local paper to show the Council that they do not have our support, and are actually not reflecting the voice of the community.
If you are an artist of any kind and live or holiday in the Mornington Peninsula, below are some actions you can take to show the Council that they need to listen to the community,
and conserve the precious cultural and community values which are vital to maintaining the essence of Peninsula life.

Unusually, I am on my jewellery bench atm creating a small new range of earrings out of some old resin pieces I’d hoarded in my workroom.
I acquired these pieces around 20 years ago, and hadn’t done a lot with them. The reason I liked them at the time, and now, is because of the quiet natural colours and the quality of the resin. (partly natural ingredients).
I have made sterling silver hooks for them, so that they can be a long lasting go-to classic.
I want to thank for encouraging me to pursue these, as I was inspired by her beauty to make her a pair for her birthday ❤️🌺
Stay tuned, I’ll put them in my online store when they’re done.

Last night under the I went to the 2025 launch of in Shoreham.
I am so nourished and inspired by this wonderful group of artists, who together bring to life some of my deepest values.
Art can bring our senses into a profound, albeit sometimes subliminal place of Truth making our ideals palpable.
Thank you for all that you do

Candid Cards! I created these from ‘scratch’, starting with this painting, which I cut up onto small squares to use for each of the cards. I even created my own font!
What I love about them, apart from them being a great tool for personal inquiry, is that I am using both my ‘hats’: my creativity, as well as my metaphysical side.
There are five question cards, and sixty-five words cards.
It is a very simple oracle ‘game’ designed to build meaningful conversations and connection.
I created these plus a deck I called ‘kids’ deck around 3 years ago, and am getting extraordinary feedback from people who love them, and it is still through word-of-mouth that they are purchased.
I have made various submissions to publishers, but so far no luck. If you know a publisher who might be interested, please let me know 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
If you would like to know more about them go to the link in my bio, or go to my website www.candyspender.com.au, and navigate to them via EarthHeart, or ‘products’.

Today I got myself to the wonderful and meaningful exhibition called in .
It‘s only on for another 9 days, and I strongly recommend that you do not miss it!
Beautifully curated and exhibited, it is one of the more pertinent exhibitions I’ve seen for awhile.
Some well known names are present here, from to local many artists. A very high standard is held with of their best works in relation to the ecological times we find ourselves in.
I recommend taking your time, and reading as much of the information as you can, watch the videos and take in the experience.
In my opinion it needs to go on tour so that as many people as possible can experience it.
It closes next Sunday 16th March.
Make the time and space, carve out at least 45 minutes if not more to take it in.

Today my meeting with Thomas Burge was so affirming and delightful. He really ‘gets’ the jewels I make, which is so affirming for me. Thomas had styled the ‘Desert Dikki’ beautifully with an exquisite dress, and on the right the bronze ‘Lemuria Talisman’ pendant with a gorgeous white dress (not sure who by Thomas?) in the window today when I arrived.
The Storehouse in St Kilda is a fabulous emporium of amazing local and Australian creativity and is a breath of fresh air in the current specialty retail landscape, a feast for the eyes and senses.
They stock a lot of my pieces from many different era’s in the 30 year history of Candy Spender Jewels, including some new pieces I’ve made in the last few weeks.
If you live in Melbourne, or are visiting, do not miss this extraordinary place in St Kilda!!

Although I still keep my jewellery bench alive, these days I prefer to make broader sweeps with my creativity. I paint, draw and sew. Recently I made a large squid for the demonstrations I go on to save Westernport (www.savewesternport.org). But that is another story!
I also make silk pouches from my vast collection of textiles I’ve collected over the decades for the tarot decks I’ve accumulated and use to help people with my readings. (www.transformationalastrologyandtarot.com)
In the meantime I curate and share images of inspiring art, the decorative arts and fashion, which is in my blood. I am currently in the process of doing due diligence and counting the components and value of my Candy Spender Jewels business as it feels like it needs to move on from me, and flourish with a new owner who will passionately breathe new life into it and bring it up-to-speed with where it needs to be in these current times.
