Pizza night will now have a different taste about her when you devour our sourdough organic pizza bases 🍕

Paddy loves pizza 😋
Simple and just with ham and cheese Thankyou.
A true rich red organic sauce base to cover and a yummy homemade sourdough base.
And not to mention the probiotics that are hidden to nurture a growing little soccer belly 👩‍🍳
I actually never buy pizza, I kind of refuse too hehe 😝
But it comes down to that base.

I par cook them so you can just use fresh or freeze 🇮🇹
They come with my homely sauce or without … you choose 🍅
I use white organic bakers flour and roll her in a stoneground wholemeal 👩‍🍳

Miss Cottage Fruit and the tale of her ancestry🧵

Miss Cottage and her buns are sincerely inspired by the fruit trees we grew up under 🌳🏡

We never go light on real ingredients Teddies Table👩‍🍳
I believe in chunky and big 🤣
That’s the Albanian in me 🇦🇱
You’ll never have to find Wally in Miss Cottage Fruit Loaf or her buns… You really can see her fruity fashion on parade 🍇

Miss Cottage Fruit loaf was inspired by growing up under the fruit trees back home 👩‍🌾
Every Summer it was a process of netting and protecting our cherry, apricot, apple and peach trees.

I remember on warm summer nights helping Dad pick from the huge cherry tree that stood so tall and had branches weighing down from the big red pairs🍒
He on the ladder, us under the branches with our buckets.
I remember thinking when they came in twos they were like earrings ☺️
Perfect and always came in twos.
Just like bestfriends 👯‍♀️
They were so big, red and juicy I used to put them over my ears and pretend I was like mum 👩
Or by the time dad got down from the ladder, well there were more pips at my feet than cherries picked 😅 And the bucket was bare ☺️

On good Summers we had that many mum would bottle all of our fruit just to save them.
Her laundry cupboard became a festive cellar.
We lived off fruit as a desert back then, mostly on top of icecream or with full cream🍧
It was our sugary treat 💗

Over the years we shared picking from that cherry tree with our boys and those earrings still got popped over little ears 💙
Sharing childhood threads with our children around belief systems and traditions really encompasses simplicity and how Mother Nature intended us to thrive from her… to just be in it 🍃

I love how cooking from the heart brings back so much of our beloved childhood 🧵

You cook with feeling and always with a big heart wide open 💗

A story about my mum 💗
Louise Ismail

Louise Marjorie Hamilton born on 23/2/1955.
Raised in Lilydale and was the eldest of 7.
She left school at 15, became a full timer at Woolies. She even won Checkout of the year🥇

Mum would come home after long days and would prep all the veggies for the evening meal.
Mum was a depended upon young and always took care of her siblings.
Her customers would line up just to talk to her💗
She is kind and thoughtful 🥰

Mum met dad at 19 at a Yarra Glen dance 💃🕺
Dad asked her once to dance and thought that would do it.
Needless to say the sideburns didn’t win her over that easily😅
He took her out one more time to the Icecreamery, then he got his girl.
Both my parents worked alot.
Dad on the farm 7 days and mum 5 1/2 at Woolies and the farm on Sundays.
This was dating 😂

After 5 yrs, mum said to dad in the car one day, “That’s it, are you ever going to ask me to marry you”?
Dad said “Yes” 😂
They both were gifted 1 acre from my Pa and so they worked hard and saved to build their home.
It cost $23,000 and still to this day they live there.

Mum became a mum at 24.
I have an older brother and sister.
We were her world.
We all grew up in bassinets amongst the fields👩‍🌾
“It was hard doing it all on my own. Somedays I worried something would happen. Raising babies on a big farm was challenging. But I have no regrets. We were all together”.

Growing your own had its perks.
Sweet corn buttered, stuffed capsicums, jams from the blackberries, pressure cooker whistling.
Mum loved good food.
Challenging recipes made her eager. But the challenge was to satisfy dad, he would say “It’s a bit dry” 🤣
To this day she still loves trying new recipes on him, and he lets her🫃

Mums proudest moment was learning how to rock and roll dance at 60.
To this day they both still dance together.
“I don’t have regrets. I like my own company. I still enjoy talking on the telephone and listening to Elvis off the vinyl. I appreciate my life. I have lost loved ones and that changes us”.
Her message is simple, “always take care of each other”🧵

I know this weather always makes me want to w**d and get that soil hungry again 🪏

👩‍🍳 Gently reminding everyone I need orders in by 6pm Thursday nights sharp Sourdoughie’s 📝
As our little micro bakery continues to flourish, my mornings are early with prepping dough and this just ensures your bread orders are secure for Saturdays Bake 💪

🥣Good Morning Miss Muesli is now a permanent bakers pick and she is now a staple on our menu 👩‍🍳

A brand new Sourdough will be released very soon, I am just fine tuning her for you all …. So watch this space 😁

Porch pickups run between 9:30 and 11:30 am every Saturday. If you cannot make this time frame, just let me know and you can collect off the table at any time until 6pm that day 🧺

Our Oatmeal in a cookie is a ever so popular! Packs of 4 were packed and we just love gifting an extra one to our little people who come to meet us on Saturdays at the Porch🍪
$15 for a pack of 4.
Our cookies are a take off from Miss Muesli, she does contain egg + peanut butter, Miss muesli doesn’t.

The magic of our invisible thread 🧵

It’s when you can’t see it … but it’s there in that moment of passing it on 🧵

Ted passed it to me, I passed it to Paddy and then Paddy passes it to YOU🧵

Fall Inlove with stories, good food and good people coming together is how we want it to be … again 🤎

Bread is simple, it’s a bit like how things used to be.
It’s when the method gets meddled with and changes the essence, the guts, the heart ❤️
That’s when bread is just bread.
Ordinary 🥹

Therefore the ending lacks depth … the need for something to get better and better… and it changes!
It doesn’t look the same anymore, it feels different and it’s difficult to trust in the process 🥹

When in the first place there was never anything wrong with it to begin with 🤷🏻‍♀️
It was perfect right from the start 🌻
It just didn’t get felt is all✨
It got lost in translation 💵

It means more to me just knowing the magic can’t be seen… it wouldn’t be magic otherwise now would it 🧙

You have to feel it ✨

Because it’s more than bread🌻

It’s Teddies thread 🧵

So don’t choose ordinary in life!
