These people have been so compassionate and understanding of my journey. Because of that they have allowed me to grow comfortably and become more confident in myself / who I am but also my public speaking abilities over the last few years. I’m not sure what the chances are to cross paths with one of your ICU nurses whilst on holidays, but I’m certain it’s slim…. and yet that’s what happened! 🥹 It was so heartwarming to hear from her and to be able to thank her for everything she did during those critical weeks. I can only imagine the emotional toll of what these nurses witness and deal with in the ICU. They are courageous and very special people. 💗
