Meet Richard. A veteran Defensive Back from the Southern Vikings who is rumoured to have said "Tell em I'm the best Free safety in Victoria". While he might not be the 'BEST' he is definitely a solid contributor week in and out.

It's time to join Richard and get ready for pre-season training. With the Season starting in September, and the NFL playing a game in 2026 and beyond. There is no better time to join the most inclusive sport in the world. All AF Victoria clubs are recruiting now.

NEW TEAM ALERT!!!
The Northern Chargers Football club are charging into the 2025 Gridiron Victoria Season, filling the void in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.

Pre-season starts on July 12th for their senior men's side. If you play footy or Rugby, then don't worry! You can join once your season has finished. Just make sure you get down and sign up to play, coach or volunteer your services.

With the NFL playing games in Melbourne from 2026, there is no better time to get involved with the most inclusive sport in the world.

Game 2 had me driving 5 minutes away to take photos of Burnside Heights Football Club taking on ladder leader Glenroy Football Club. Some inaccurate kicking by Glenroy, saw this being closer than it should have been at half time with a score line reading 1.3.9 to 4.11.35

Burnside got within 8 points in the last qtr before Glenroy blazed away, winning by 59 points.

With a day with nothing on. I decided to take in some local (to me) footy, on this cold windy afternoon in the west.

First stop was Caroline Springs Football Club v AltonaFC in Caroline Springs.

Meet Blake. A talented Australian Rules footballer who decided that excelling at one sport just wasn't enough. Thrown into the fire in his first ever season of American Football, Blake took charge of the Wolves Offense and helped out on the D when he could. A year under his belt should see him improve in year 2. He hopes to lead the Wolves to a Championship.

Join Blake at the Melton Wolves Gridiron Club as they start 2025 at a brand-new, purpose-built American Football field at MacPherson Park. Pre-season starts soon and they are looking for Under 18's and Senior men's players. All body shapes and sizes needed.

If you don't think there's a position for you?? You couldn't be more wrong. Come play the most inclusive sport there is, or Volunteer on game days.

There's always at the home games. Yesterday, there seemed to have been a lot more than usual. A very proud club run by a very smart young president. The Juniors president is also an absolute gem of a person.
I enjoy watching their games and capturing moments like this through the lens.
