I had five fat black suffolk lambs yesterday morning out at Candelo, 12 months old and dressed amazing!
32kg, 33kg, 34kg, 34.5kg and 29.5kg and yes for the keyboard warrior's I mouthed them all and checked they still had milk teeth 😉

Yesterday's job, beef and veal on the hook.

Beefy was a bit light on with fat coverage compared to the last two steers I've slaughtered for these guys but this time around was after winter not summer so im putting it down to that, as for the vealer he dressed at 19.5kg

Hows the fat score on the two pigs from last Friday 🤔 fat and happy was an understatement for these two girls.

I have another four pigs booked in for another customer in a few weeks, be interesting to see how they dress out in comparison.

It's Friday and I'll be heading to Bega to slaughter a steer, Tuesday I slaughtered this steer above at Eden and Wednesday I cut these succulant lambs at Brogo.

I'm cutting 250kg of beautiful beef today and these guys have the liver, heart, kidneys and cheeks getting mixed through the mince! What a great way to consume all the seriously good nutritional benefits you get from offal?

Well it's essentially the half way point of the year and with September starting to book up, and the rest of the year having sporadic bookings, now is the time to get in touch and lock me in to come to your farm before 2026 hits!😳
Crazy I know, but with the price of meat on the upward trend 📈 it's the right time to fill the freezer.

And let's be honest it's the ducks nuts eating your own produce instead of store bought 🤣

Out at a lovely Bega Valley Shire dairy yesterday up at Bemboka.
I'll have you know that no milk was harvested by myself only two young dairy steers 😊

What are peoples thoughts on dairy beef and maybe some misconceptions that some might have around eating dairy cattle??

And FYI I like real milk that tastes like real milk 👌
