Jazz on Friday today on Sapphirefm featured a great chat with 3 jazz men from Melbourne (Hilton, Barry and Dos) and then a great chat with Saul Richardson of the Sydney Jazz Workshop. Folk on Friday this week is packed with guests - again. Gav and Col kick things off as usual at 8 with Lynn McColl joining the boys at 8.30 to chat Wintersun. Hanna Marshall is the Manager of the Merimbula Visitors Centre and she checks in at 8.45 to describe how the town is filling up with visitors. Graham’s first guests at 9 are three jazz guys from Victoria - Barry, Dos and Hilton. And at 9.30 Dr. Saul Richardson joins the show. Saul is the founder of Jazz Workshop Australia and each year brings a group of young Sydney jazz musicians to the Merimbula festival to be part of Jazz Quest, the youth jazz competition supported by our local Community Bendigo Bank. Great listening on Sapphirefm.
