Behind the unassuming façade of his Mildura home, Ian has created a kaleidoscope of shimmering glass and porcelain. Genie bottles, tea sets, artworks, lamps and chandeliers, statues and curios spill across shelves and tables and hang from the ceilings and walls. Each room and even the garden, overflow with the things Ian has collected for Ana; a homage not just to the delights she loved but to the joy she brought into his life. His way to channel his grief into purpose and artistry.

Growing up in Mildura, Stephanie Carbone saw firsthand how many talented young musicians were scattered across the region, often learning in isolation with few opportunities to connect or perform. Now known by her married name, Stephanie Gashi, she created Mildura Academy of Music and Performance (MAMP) more than ten years ago to change that.

A multidisciplinary artist, curator, writer and researcher, Luci has more than 29 years’ experience in the Mildura Arts Centre’s (MAC’s) Gallery and Heritage team. It’s a role that involves curating exhibitions, educating visitors about MAC’s history and its extensive catalogue of works, running public programs, and promoting everything that happens in the MAC galleries.
