𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮-𝗹𝗲𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘆
As reported in Beach Buzz, the Moore Park Beach Community Association helped sponsor Rosa-lee Hickey to participate in a world championship boxing competition held in Germany. Travelling from Moore Park Beach with a Bundaberg club, she represented Queensland. The latest news is that Rosa-lee won her first match, pictured below. In the most recent matches held over this last weekend, she drew against a mutliple-time champion, and lost the third match. The result is a great improvement for Rosa-lee over her previous championship appearances. We congratulate Rosa-lee on her great achievements.

𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗱
Organisers of the Monthly Trivia, Gary and James, have presented a donation of $335 to the Moore Park Beach Men's Shed, the proceeds from the "Licorice Allsorts" trivia held last Sunday, 23 August. The next trivia night will be held in the Community Hall on Sunday 20 September and the theme will be "The Kitchen Sink".

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
The Moore Park Beach Community Association will announce the latest Community Grants this weekend at the Arts Festival. A total of 5 organisations will share $6,700 being given to local volunteer groups, recreational activities, clubs and other projects.
The grants will be announced by Derek Alcorn, president of the Association, on the stage this Saturday, 15 August, shortly after 10am. Grant recipients will be on hand to acknowledge community gratitude and to receive their official notification. Your support of The Hub op shop makes such grants possible. Thank you
