Ever wondered what goes into a live theatre broadcast?

For 'The Last Ship', Inverse Imaging worked with QPAC on the first live broadcast from the new Glasshouse Theatre, with our crew behind the cameras, PTZ, camera control and streaming.

A huge thank you to the crew who helped bring this one together behind the scenes.

A beautiful production, a big moment for the venue, and a project we were proud to be part of.

Mark is the Co-Founder of Inverse Imaging and the creative driving force behind our productions. His days are a constant rotation of coffee, reviewing edits, quoting projects, briefing editors, prepping gear and shaping what’s next in pre-production. While he’ll say he “just makes videos,” what he really loves is crafting an image, building light, composition and movement into something intentional and beautiful.

On set, he’s calm, detailed and focused, leading crews while refining every frame. Despite working on countless large-scale productions, Mark says the achievement he’s most proud of is the team, the freelancers, staff and collaborators who give everything to each project.

The current Inverse studio represents more than just a new space.

It reflects 10 years of growth, problem-solving and learning what a production environment really needs to do.

After working across home setups, warehouse spaces and earlier studio builds, we knew exactly what we wanted this next chapter to be; practical, flexible and designed for the way we work.

So when the opportunity came, we built it that way.

From the ground up, this space was shaped by years of hands-on production experience. What crews need. What clients need. What makes shoots run smoothly. What gives a team control, efficiency and confidence on the day.

The result is the studio we operate from now, with a space built through experience, and one that continues to support the next phase of Inverse.

As we mark 10 years, this build feels like one of the clearest expressions of how far the business has come.

Looking back on 10 years, we thought we’d share how Inverse came to be.

It all states over a pint, like any good idea should. After years of working together in an AV company, then constantly crossing paths as freelancers, it made sense to join forces properly.

That was over a decade ago.

Adam came from live touring and lighting. Mark from film and video. Together, it was a natural fit, bringing events to life, both on stage and on screen.

We started with one camera each, a handful of gigs, and a lot of late nights.

Now, we’ve got more cameras than we can count, a growing team, and we’re onto our third studio space.

From live events to studio shoots and branded content, the goal’s always been the same; make it memorable, and enjoy the process.

Here’s to 10 years of Inverse and what’s next.

Brad Addison has been the steadying force behind Inverse's camera work for years. Box lenses, multi-cam broadcast, corporate events, studio shoots, he does all of it, and makes it look considerably easier than it is.

On set, Brad is the kind of operator you don't notice because everything's exactly where it needs to be, and it stays there. Ask the team what they value most and the answers are consistent: reliable, calm, and "he fixed something before anyone knew it was broken."

He's been part of major productions across Telstra, Cisco Live, and more events than he'd probably like to count. He's still the last one to put the box lens back in the truck.

Adam Copland is the co-founder who quietly runs Inverse's live events from every angle, often from behind the vision desk, occasionally from the air.

Over the course of a decade, he's built a technical breadth that's rare in a single operator. Camera director one minute, graphics the next and drone operator if the job calls for it. Adam moves across the full broadcast chain without fuss, because at some point, he's had to. That hands-on depth is what makes the live events side of Inverse tick.

His version of a successful show: crew's happy, signal's clean, client doesn't need to worry about a thing.
