🔥 Planning a Burn? Notify First! 🔥

✅ Burn notifications are mandatory all year round and must be submitted at least 24 hours before any planned burns.

👉 Lodge your burn notifications on the RFS website: www.rfs.nsw.gov.au

⚠️ Stay Vigilant: Even though the Fire Danger Period has ended, dry, cured grass remains a concern. Always monitor forecasts and weather conditions closely before lighting any fires.

🚒 The NSW RFS encourages residents to exercise caution and strictly follow local regulations and safety measures when conducting burns.

🌡️ Heatwave & High Fire Danger Alert for Parts of NSW 🌡️

The extreme heat is set to continue over the coming days, and it’s important to stay safe.

- Heatwaves can be particularly dangerous for older adults, babies, children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and anyone with medical conditions or feeling unwell.
- High fire danger is also expected, so remain cautious and stay informed about any fire warnings in your area.
- Find a cool spot to relax, like your home, a local library, community centre, or shopping mall.
- To keep your home cooler, close windows and draw blinds or curtains early in the day to block out the heat.
- If you have access to fans or air-conditioning, use them to stay comfortable.

Stay safe, stay cool, and stay alert! 💧☀️🔥

🔥 Get ready and get rid of your green waste! Drop it off for free between 16 - 29 September.

We’re waiving fees again, just in time for the Rural Fire Service’s annual Get Ready Weekend.

Over two weeks you can drop your green waste at Brou, Moruya or Surf Beach waste facilities. We'll turn it into glorious mulch 😍

Please keep rubbish out of your green waste - the red bin is for that. Contaminated piles are not fun 👎
