⛓ LOCKFEST - 2026 ⛓
It's taken a few days to come down from this one, bloody hell that was a night and a half!! If you missed this one, what can I say... that sucks, cos that was one of the best examples I've seen in a long time of how amazing live music in the Limestone Coast is! 🔥
A huge thank you goes out to all the incredible artists who performed on the day, we're so lucky to live in a place with such a booming local scene! Could you please give it up for Sexy-As-Sh*t, GERNZ , Louise Adams, Low Expectations, The Short Sleeves , Corduroy, tripp.balency, and Alison Newman - Vocalist!! So much talent in one room, each bringing their own masterfully crafted sound and vibe! I know a lot of you punters definitely found your new favourite band on Saturday night! Let's not forget our amazing MC Kyra Sykes, damn you're a wiz on the mic! Superb idea about the poster raffle too!
A massive thanks to TJF Audio for handling sound and lights, making sure everyone looked and sounded top notch! Which they sure as hell did! You're an absolute master of your craft! On the topic of sound, I'd also like to give props to Ivan Heenan and Ryan Creedy for helping supply backline. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes with shows like this, so all the help is hugely appreciated!
Of course, we must also give it up for the Limestone Coast Pantry for hosting the night! Thank you to Lyn and Chris for being so accomodating, and we hope it was as great of a night for you as it was for us! 🙏
A big thank you goes out to Ken and Michelle Lane, and David and Sandi Walshaw for running the door, keeping those punters piling in like there was no tomorrow! It's a pretty big space in the Pantry, but from the report I got at the end of the night, we were pretty much at absolute capacity! How good is that! 🎟
I've seen some seriously awesome pics floating around the net of what went down, so if you've got any, slap em in the comments below, we'd all love to see em! Last, but most certainly not least, thank you to all who bought a ticket, bought merch, donated to the cause, and came out to party with us! While I'm still counting the final pennies, it's safe to say that together we helped raise around $6000 to go towards the Stand Like Stone Foundation and the Millicent High School sub-fund! Thanks to you, we've helped make dreams come true, and if you ask me, that definitely makes all the blood, sweat, and tears 100% worth it!!
Something tells me that LOCKFEST may have to become an annual thing! What do we say about that? 🤘
I'm sure amongst the chaos I've still probably managed to forget some of the details, but one thing's for sure, this was a night to remember! So... how about we do it all again... in Millicent... this Saturday?!
That's right, DETENTION is in session! This weekend, catch Low Expectations, Fat Pony, In the Kitchen Band, Alison Newman, FRF, and Elixr, live at Civic and Arts Centre, yet again raising money for the two aforementioned incredibly worthy causes! This show will be celebrating 10 years of Low Expectations, as well as the launch of the CD edition of Alison Newman's "WOLF" EP. If you haven't put two and two together (or if you forgot to visit the merch desk at Lockfest), a certain label you know may have had a bit to do this this... more info soon 😉
