MEET SANDY 😘
Originally from Hong Kong, Sandy moved to Perth in 2019 to pursue a Physiotherapy degree at Curtin University. Since graduating, she has gained diverse clinical experience, particularly in the disability sector under the NDIS, with a strong focus on neurological rehabilitation. Her hospital work included experience in post-operative rehabilitation, particularly with knee and hip replacements, women’s health and patient education in the maternity ward, and chest physio in the general surgical ward. 🦴
Having completed Pilates instructor training in Perth, Sandy integrates this practice into her physiotherapy approach. Sandy has also completed training in dry needling, which she uses to help reduce muscle tension, alleviate pain, and improve mobility. 🤸🏼♂️💉
Sandy takes a holistic approach to physiotherapy, recognizing the powerful connection between physical and mental health in the rehabilitation process. By incorporating techniques like Pilates, exercise therapy, and manual treatment, she helps clients not only recover physically but also build mental resilience and confidence. 💪
Sandy’s key areas of interest include postoperative recovery, neurogenic rehabilitation, paediatric physiotherapy, and sports injuries. Sandy is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, which allows her to connect with a wide range of clients and communities. 🤝
Outside of work, Sandy is a passionate foodie and loves exploring Perth’s vibrant food scene. She has developed a particular love for coffee since arriving in Perth and enjoys starting her days with a great cup from the city’s many local cafés. ☕️ Sandy has fallen in love with the café culture in Perth and can often be found café hopping, discovering new spots and savoring different coffee brews. She is also an avid lover of outdoor activities, including hiking and kayaking, and enjoys spending time in nature whenever she can. 🥾
Come and meet Sandy to discuss your movement goals, and discover how physiotherapy can support your health, recovery, and wellbeing! 👋🏽
