For a long time, posting meant talking to people who already knew you. Your followers, your existing audience, people who already understood your brand and what you do.

That's changing. The algorithm is pushing content further than your follower base, and platforms are leaning into it on purpose. Instagram's Trial Reels exist specifically to push new content to people who don't follow you yet, testing it before it ever reaches your usual audience.

That shifts what a post actually needs to do. If someone is watching a Trial Reel, there's a good chance they've never seen your brand before. They don't know your story, your team, your process or what makes you different. To them, this isn't a check in. It's an introduction.

Stop posting as if people already know who you are. Every piece of content, and especially anything landing in a trial reel, needs to work as a first impression, because for a growing number of viewers, that's exactly what it is.

Last week Beth spent the day with the team at PROST Exercise 4 Prostate Cancer , hearing from members about their experiences with prostate cancer, the hard parts and the strength this community gives each other to get through it.

What struck her most was how supportive the group is, everyone showing up for each other because they understand exactly what the others are going through. We're proud to help share these stories, and this Prostate Awareness Month we're donating to support PROST!'s work.

You can too, link in bio.☺️

Most businesses can answer the obvious questions. That is the baseline.

The real opportunity is in the questions customers don’t know they need to ask: the overlooked risks, hidden trade-offs, common assumptions and small decisions that can significantly impact their experience.

For WA service businesses, this creates an opportunity to compete through specialist knowledge. Not by trying to sound bigger, but by being more useful, specific and informed.

The businesses that lead their industries do not wait for customers to ask better questions.

They teach them what those questions should be.
