Family friendly animation, Tales From Outer Suburbia on ABC iview, brings to life Shaun Tan’s memories of growing up in the northern suburbs of Perth 🏡

The series follows ‘almost 13-year-old’ Klara and her six-year-old brother Pim move to Outer Suburbia with their newly single mother Lucy. The siblings’ summer holiday turns into a series of surreal adventures, with the family encountering weird and miraculous phenomena as they adapt to their new reality.

Episodes will air on Sundays at 7:30pm on ABC Kids, or watch now on ABC iview ✨

We’re beyond proud to see this uniquely Australian story brought to life on screen and showcased on the world stage. From the incredible imagination of Shaun Tan and the talented teams at Flying Bark and Highly Spirited, this series captures the wonder, mystery, and magic of suburban life.
