Found this gem in my photos this week and honestly it made me laugh out loud.

That’s me on the tarmac in LA with a group of platinum clients about to board a privately hired BBJ to Omaha, Nebraska. Why Omaha? Warren Buffett’s annual AGM. As you do.

This was around 2002. I was the Platinum Coordinator on an event run by Peter Spann, which basically meant I was the person making sure everyone was happy while someone far more organised than me handled the actual logistics - Thanks Mel.

Somewhere between LA and Omaha we spent four days in Vegas. Private patio at the Bellagio. In-N-Out by the truckload. Cooking with Wolfgang Puck. Then we all piled onto the BBJ where the ceiling turned from day to night, there was naturally champagne and lobster on the menu and I remember thinking I never want this to end.

We met Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. Genuinely pinch me stuff.

I’m still friends with so many of the people in this photo. Two decades later and social media kept us all connected.

What a time.

15 years of Socialface yesterday. This morning I went for a family walk to get my head ready for a huge week coming up.

This is Turitable Falls in Stanley Park, Mount Macedon. Six million years of water carving through volcanic rock. And we’re out here worried about whether to post a reel or a carousel.

Perspective is a good thing.

What the water actually reminded me is that the best campaigns have a natural flow to them. They don’t force it. They find the right path to the right person at the right time. A story that makes someone stop scrolling because it feels real, not because it was boosted, vanilla, plain old boring or obviously ai generated.

This is my calm before a big week. Two property campaigns to build from scratch starting Tuesday and pre scheduled content finalised for June/July. Briefings, strategy, content, the works.

This heavy lifting now means the agency I support gets to stay focused on what they do best while their social media doesn’t skip a beat - even though I’ll be puffing my way up a hill in Italy.

After 15 years it still feels like the best job in the world. My legs are less convinced about the Dolomites training but that’s a problem for future me.

SOCIALFACE IS 15 TODAY.

Fifteen years ago, Socialface launched with two clients, a laptop, a back of the napkin plan and a lot of optimism.

Since then, the business has travelled Australia with my young family, moved to London, returned to Sydney, found a home in Mount Macedon and helped more than 50 businesses tell their stories.

There have been wins, lessons, friendships, adventures, countless coffees and more “what if we tried...” moments than I can count.

But the thing I’m most grateful for is people trusted me.

From my first clients to the clients I work with today, thank you for believing in me, trusting my advice and allowing me to be part of your story.

Socialface has always been about life by design.

Fifteen years later, I can honestly say:

100% worth it. Still is.

What a ride. ❤️ Thank you.

OK this trend got me and who doesn’t love a bit of fun mixed into the day 😂

I asked ChatGPT to turn me into an illustrated sketchbook character using everything it knows about me… social media strategy, prestige real estate campaigns, coffee walks, creative chaos, oversized coats, country life and “too many ideas, not enough hours” energy.

Honestly… the Bernese Mountain Dog and neutral wardrobe absolutely sent me.

If you want to make your own, upload a few photos into ChatGPT and use this 👇

“Draw the character in the image, “[insert your name]”, in a free and stripped sketch style.

On a bright white background, freely scatter full-body drawings, expressive face close-ups, handwritten notes, scribbles, rough sketches, exaggerated caricatures and playful versions so the page feels alive with personality, humour and energy.

Do not make it look like a neat character sheet. Make it feel like an illustrator’s personal sketchbook filled organically over time.

Use everything ChatGPT knows about me from our conversations including my personality, habits, strengths, profession, style, routines, quirks and overall vibe to imagine how an illustrator would interpret me as a character.

Include visual references connected to:
• my work
• lifestyle
• fashion style
• favourite places
• pets
• hobbies
• creative process
• personality

The sketches should alternate between polished, overwhelmed, funny, thoughtful and aspirational versions of me.

Use loose pencil, ink and marker textures with expressive imperfect lines and handwritten observations throughout.”

Then personalise it properly. The more specific you get, the better it gets.

And yes… apparently my entire personality is now “coffee first, strategy second.” ☕️
Thanks for the inspo Lauren!

Looking back over some past campaigns this morning.

I loved working with this beautiful property. It had been on the market longer than anyone would’ve liked. We repositioned the campaign around lifestyle storytelling, short form video and Meta retargeting. It sold just before Christmas. 54 days later.

52,000 Facebook engagements. 91,000 impressions. $0.23 cost per click. 4,142 listing visits.

If you’ve got a listing that’s gone quiet, the first thing I look at is the campaign strategy, not the price.

Numbers allow me to tweak and adjust campaigns along the way, making sure we’re presenting the property in the best light for the right buyer.

A solid campaign is never set and forget. It’s constant adjustments until we get there. Happy vendors, happy buyers, happy agents.

kind words from the vendor - ‘A huge thankyou for all your hard work in advertising our home, I am sure that without your excellent assistance we would not have been able to attract the current purchasers - so we are eternally grateful to you and your wonderful work !’

Most agencies are still treating social media like a box to tick.

Post the listing. Share the open. Move on.

But the agencies standing out now understand something bigger.

Digital visibility shapes perception long before a vendor picks up the phone.

The right campaigns do more than showcase a property. They keep your agency visible, relevant, and remembered by the right buyers and future vendors.

That’s where strategic positioning starts to matter.

If you’re ready to approach your property marketing more strategically, let’s talk.

I really loved visiting The Pond House.

The kind of property where you instantly slow down a little.

Morning coffee by the water, kayaks ready to go, yoga decks tucked into the landscape and uninterrupted views across to the Wombat State Forest that will never be built out.

It feels peaceful, private and completely connected to nature while still being close enough to enjoy everything Victorias top tiny town Trentham offers.
