TOPIC: Event Traffic
We understand the frustration that can come with long wait times and backed up traffic, especially during event weekends. First and foremost, it's important to acknowledge the limitations we face when it comes to the infrastructure around the park. There is only one two-lane road that leads into the park, and unfortunately, we are unable to change this. This means that we need to be proactive and find other ways to alleviate traffic congestion, particularly during peak times such as event weekends. One of the key factors contributing to traffic congestion is the visitors that leave the park to access things such as food, gas, and other supplies. We understand that these needs are essential, which is why we want to emphasize the importance of coming prepared for your visit. This means having everything you need for the weekend before entering the park. We are fortunate to have several gas stations, a grocery store, the Mud Life parts store near the park, and multiple fast-food restaurants, all within a 3-minute drive. This provides ample opportunities for visitors to stock up on supplies BEFORE entering the park. By taking the time to ensure you have everything you need beforehand, you can help reduce the need to leave the park, thereby minimizing traffic congestion.
